FIFA World Cup 2022 Group B ** spoilers ** (England, Iran, USA, Wales)

No beer allowed at all now for spectators.. how will England fans cope?

No surprise that 'corporate spectators' will still be allowed to. Corrupt backwards country even when it comes to beer. :D

Qatar's plan all along for me, wait until a few days before the tournament then change their mind about selling alcohol.

Be interesting to see what Budweiser say, surely they'll be out of pocket and need a bit of compensation from someone

Anyone else not feeling this World Cup? It starts tomorrow, doesn't feel right, not excited one bit, not even for England to be honest. It seems all it is, is an afterthought, a hastily scrambled together football tournament. Being selfish here, but I hope all the teams that have Man Utd players in crash out early.

Feel exactly the same, there's just no hype. Video of the players training yesterday does not look slightly enjoyable for them either. One very large disgusting backhander of a tournament by FIFA.

it's a horrible feeling isn't it. Normally I would hyped, got a stack of beers in for the opening game, talking to the kids, mates about it, but nothing this time around. Everyone one I know hasn't been talking about it, hardly anything on my social media. Come tomorrow afternoon, I will have forgot about it being on.

Not team related but there is no one there... My friend has gone on his own, and he's sending us back videos and images of empty fan areas, empty restaurants, trains stations with not a single person on the train, empty queues for fan zones with no one in.

I have never been to any WC game. If I was paid to go to this one I would have declined. I think anyone in their right mind would not go. Too many restrictions, strict laws. To me it's not worth the risk of getting banged up because you looked at someone funny. A few days ago, a reporter was approached and threatened for making a report. It's stupid hosting it there. Russia was bad enough with their own take on things but that was no where near as bad as this place.

thats my take on it anyway.

So far he's experience none of that, because he's wandering the streets alone. He found a few bars in the city centre that were busy last night, but that's about all.

If the Live feed for TV is controlled by Qatar, I'd wager my life savings that on Sunday we only see very small areas of the stadium that have been packed out abd it has fake fan noises.

Was just about to post that. Scum, the lot of them.

We really need Qatar to go full Qatar on teams or supporters so everyone has a reason to walk away from the tournament and Fifa.
Europe and the UK should have boycotted the whole World Cup in Qatar, as a sign of solidarity.

Hosting the whole tournament in Qatar is a farce, nothing ever changes. :(
