Maguire is a beast in the box when attacking as he's such a bulldozer. However, he's got caught there with the Iran first goal. That should be a wake up call and reminder as to his lack of pace and agility. I'd be more comfortable with him not playing tbh.

He does seem to be a bit of s scapegoat, especially for United even though the whole back line was playing poorly. He's a decent defender in some line-ups and a decent threat from corners.

In his last game for England he gave away a penalty then gave away possession miles out of position which resulted in another goal, he's been dropped by his club manager and shouldn't have even been picked by Southgate. He made another mistake today against world beaters Iran so he's obviously going to have the spotlight on him because people expect him to make a mistake every game now.
