FIFA World Cup 2022 Group B ** spoilers ** (England, Iran, USA, Wales)

Yanks don’t look half bad, I thought they would have been on the same level as the likes of Iran.
Why? They've got a load of players at top leagues and clubs - Chelsea, Milan, Juve, plus Adams at Leeds, Sargent at Norwich, Ream at Fulham, Weah at Lille, etc. Reyna is touted by loads of people as a top class youngster and can't even get a start. They're building a decent side - I think they'll surprise some people this tournament.

It was 2007 since Becks went to America. That's 15 years ago. MLS has been growing massively over that time and now we are starting to see the fruits of that labour. You also had the 1994 world cup 29 years ago that started the ball rolling.

It is the third watched sport in America only behind basketball and American football.

It is only going one way.

The days of the US side being a bit of a joke are gone. Bit by bit, football is growing in popularity on the other side of the pond. It's now actually played by more people than American Football, Basketball and Baseball.

Wales are pretty bad though, they'll probably start playing better against England.
