FIFA World Cup 2022 Group B ** spoilers ** (England, Iran, USA, Wales)

Wales spout rubbish about passion constantly, their self proclaimed world class players can’t even last a game for survival. Easy to give interviews, harder to follow through.

Feel a bit sorry for Wales this cup. Like most small countries they're highly reliant on their star player to lift them, and Bale has clearly been off colour all tournament. I reckon whatever injury took him off at half-time has been brewing for a while.

Bale hasn’t been good for quite a while now really.

Thats what they bleated on about with Southgate over the Euros because there was nothing footballing that they could actually point at that he was good at. Playing a back 8 doesn't lend itself to being labelled a football visionary.

Frankly we’ve got nothing else, beside passion. Some people seem hung up on the Iceland defeat to turn the screw on Wales as I’m sure they did when we lost to Portugal in the Euros.

Beside 2 possibly 3 players (Dan James, Joe Allen etc) most of the big stars are well past their prime and the rest of the team wouldn’t get a start in the premier league. Some are lucky to get games in the championship

Compare that to the calibre of players that England have and you’d expect a 10-0 thrashing but this team peaked in 2016 and have been utterly woeful all tournament.

Iran and US aren’t the minnows of 1994 but it really is a shame we **** the bed and didn’t turn up.
