Tbf to Morocco their not yielding any ground in or around the box, genuinely fantastic defense. Brilliantly contained football.

If they could just execute some of those long balls a little better they could slip ahead!

Oh Morocco are playing well but this is one of the ways to beat this style of football. They want to walk it in and you don't give them the time or the space and then you try and hit them on the counter. A better side would do this and be a couple of goals up.

Theres a reason Spain were sometimes said to bore teams to death back in the day. Prime Messi was the main thing that made that Barca team exciting in amongst all that sideways passing.

Theres an "average position" graphic on the BBC site and its all been played in-between the Morocco penalty box and the half way line. Very little actual action in the box.
