***FIFA11 PS3 10v10 Club***

Bandwidth restrictions shouldnt affect ping - depends how low it goes - just stop dling porn or DVDs to sell :p

I dunno, I used to suffer bad lag online during the times we played. My dad has his torrents on and he's a **** about it, I've asked him countless times to turn them off during the day but he won't lol.

Put my name down, I'll just see how it goes. I can always unplug the ethernet cable to his room. :)

Yep both will be fine. What we are doing this year is giving a trial period so we can decide whether the club is right for you. We've had several players join who don't act appropriately, ie. they join and invite 5 of their mates who we don't even know, or they aren't a team player. You don't have to be the next Ronaldo to get in, all we ask is that you play for the team and not for yourself, and that you can behave properly. We don't want people who are selfish on the ball, we don't want people who shoot at every given opportunity even though there may be someone better placed, but most of all we don't want people who get in and then decide to invite a bunch of their mates who are exactly the same as them behavior wise, ie. they rush to the striker slots even though we play a rotation system, they refuse to join in voice/text chat, all those kind of things.

So to sum up, the trial period is mainly about behavior, we aren't a super serious club who simply has to win at all costs, but we don't want to just open the floodgates and let everyone in, we're trying to create a club that has an element of organization but is importantly a fun place to be. :)

Sounds fun to me :D, I dont mind playing anywere else ill give it ago i have played a full season under be a pro as a striker i must admit but i bet playing on the wings/mid is fun too.

I have a PS3 official headset so voice is good for me also text i can do but dont own a message pad

Good stuff, it's always good to have voice comms it's much easier than using text chat, quicker too. You can use a USB keyboard on the PS3 for text chat if you don't have a message pad. :)

What we normally do is just rotate positions every game, so one game you'll be CM, then LM, RM, ST etc, everyone gets a chance to score some goals and get some assists then. We don't tend to use the defence for human players, we let the CPU handle that but some of the guys may think we need to look at humans as defenders this year, I don't know we'll have to see. We don't have fixed positions so there's no one person who will be in the same position game after game. We won't expect you to just play on the wing all the time or play in the midfield all the time everyone will get a turn in every position. :)

Sounds good to me Killswitch; I should have got involved last year but never quite got round to it, so would love the chance this time round. I've got a bluetooth headset like Mark1989, but no text either - can always get a keyboard if it's necessary though.

Don't worry, no hogging the ball from me either - firstly I can't dribble, and secondly football's all about pass and move :)

Do you expect people to be available for all the games, or is it something that can be dipped in and out of to an extent? Obviously I'd like to be able to play as much as possible, but never quite know about my schedule etc!

How does club work? Do you use your "Be a Pro" player, or do you select players from real-life ones?

i'd be up for this, but seeing as you usually tailor your pro for a certain position, i'd be best at the wings, preferably right mid or rw or as a left striker.

i hope you all have headsets?

Yes we've all got headsets. We don't stick to one position, like I said, we rotate to make it fairer. At the moment my VP has done 100% of the challenges, when you get to that point he's good virtually anywhere you play him.

can we bring our pro from 10 to 11?

Not as far as I know. You'll have to build him up again from scratch, although you may be able to mess around with the save files and somehow get him in the game, although it's highly improbable.

Don't worry about running out and getting a keyboard especially, you can use the controller to type, as you know, but it just takes a little longer, also as you have a headset the need for a keyboard isn't really a very big one as 90% of the time we'll probably be chatting in the lobby, let's hope they've sorted out the occasional garbled comms glitches.

We don't expect you to be around all of the time, we'll probably have set evenings where we all try and get on at the same time but it's fairly relaxed in that department, although we would expect you to at least be on once or twice a week. What normally happens is we'll say for example everyone plays on a Monday and a Sunday, but if you can't make those nights we usually end up playing in between those days as well, we'll try and organise it so that we can get the max amount of people available as possible. You'll be using your "Be a Pro" player and not a real life player, so we'll all be starting off on a level playing field in terms of players individual abilities in the game. :)

100% thats some dedication right there, as soon as i got most of them i lost interest in be a pro, so i just did the ones i needed to suit my style of play.

How did you manage the diving headers kill, you clearly cheated!

I could never get them,

I always ended up face planting :(
