Alright, I'll meet you in the middle at 14.5 stone, then we can do it. :D

Ill never be 14.5 stone, I'm 6/2 and of big build. My optimal weight in the Marines was 15/5. Given my age and slightly different training criteria I'd expect to hit my optimal weight at about 16stone.

If your meeting me in the middle at 14.5, then how big are you now!!

I suspect that you are half my age so should balance out at 16st really.

6'0, and walk around at 10.5 stone on a good day but have been known to drop to 10 stone over night if I have to work lots. I have sparred/rolled with guys your size and from that experience there is no way I'm fighting you unless you have been on a starvation diet to get down to at least half way towards my weight, sorry bro, twink fighting for me until my metabolism slows down or I get on the Dbol.

How old are you hurfdurf?

Very early 20's

I'm early 40s. I was around 11 stone at 20 and around 6ft so I expect you'll bulk out as you get toward 30. Just eat big and clean, you dont need supplements, they will just mess with your metabolism and affect your fitness overall.

I know you don't 'believe' in aikido, but you'd be at a bit of an advantage vs Castiel at your respective sizes. Bigger they are, harder they come, harder they fall.

I'm lighter than Castiel, but a lot shorter, so again I should technically be at an advantage.

Oh I see, so all this time strikers who tried their luck in MMA who were getting obliterated by bigger or more squat wrestlers and their double leg take downs didn't need to train sprawling with wrestling partners, but Aikido moves.

If only Jackson had not spent his time wrestling in college and knew how to Aikido!

Paul Daley would still be with us today.

Silly girls wrestling when Aikido would work much better I'm sure!

I said against Castiel. Who doesn't wrestle or do MMA.

His size alone, as long as he is not just purely obese, would mean with zero training someone my size would have severe difficulty keeping it standing, let alone an ex marine who probably knows a small amount of what is going on in a fight.

I suppose so. But I guess it doesn't matter in 'role play' as much as the totally 100% realistic ring fights.

I'm still also not sure why you think going to the floor is a good idea (re: gifs above).

It was suggested we set up a fight (some what jokingly) I turned it down based on the respective size of one of the opponents, who being so much bigger than me would have me on my back within seconds should he want to, and apart from being able to pull off a submission off of my back, would render me pretty much open to all sorts of ground and pound by someone who is almost double my weight, no thanks, I've experienced that enough in training, there is a reason why when competing, weight classes exist.

I don't think he was joking - he's been trying to find a suitable venue all weekend.

I wasn't aware weight classes existed in street fights? Given that, SS should wipe the floor with JCVD.

I guess MMA isn't that good then? Huh?

I too take one point and consider it absolute

The size and strength advantages between the two are minimal when you look in how shape JCVD is in comparison to SS, JCVD has a professional fight with an ex champion and olympic gold medalist coming up

as long as he is not just purely obese

SS pretty much is, I would rather fight SS than a 19 stone ex marine who is any kind of reasonable shape.

MMA isn't going to mean you can win you against someone with that kind of size and strength advantage in a street fight, but it will help more than Aikido ever would.

No I'm not just Obese (anymore), I was hugely overweight (due to a long term injury) but have been sorting that for a while now (hence the 16 stone target).

I currently train 3 hours a day, 4 days a week plus some sparring and boxing. I return to Karate hopefully in a month.

Its been a long rehab (6 years) but I'm getting there.

I'm not bragging, but I doubt even at even weight you have the experience or training.
