Tom Cruise - Love the actor, dislike the scientologist.

Gary Lineker - Love the footballer, dislike the very overpaid presenter.

James Woods - Love the actor, dislike the RW vitriol.

Ron Perlman - Love the actor, dislike the LW vitriol.

Phil Anselmo - Love the singer, dislike the repeated white power "jokes".

Mel Gibson - Love the actor, dislike the anti-Jew stuff.

Whoopi Goldberg - Love the Comedian/Actor, dislike the LW vitriol.

Etc etc.

Those are a few of the ones I've personally lost respect for, once they allowed their true self to show-up, some of which are pre-SM and some post-SM exposure. I'm sure that there's plenty of other famous people that other folks now feel the same about ever since seeing the previously "hidden/protected" side exposed by their own behaviour on SM.

Yeah this one was brutal, I mean we could have guessed but to do it and then try to claim it as otherwise was disgusting.

Completely agree with your view on it all though, SM has ruined that obliviousness to a celeb's personal views, actions etc.
The Jonah Hill stuff recently was rough.
 
Ewan McGregor - Trainspotting was his pinnacle, Shallow Grave was very good as was Moulin Rouge.

The rest of his roles seems dialed in and all money grabs. Then i met him irl and it's true what they say, don't meet your heroes. I can't watch anything with him in it now :(

Pretty sure that's his accent. He is actually a very good actor albeit typecast. He seems to come across as a nice bloke also, not sure what there is to dislike about him.

Saying that his Early films were Superb and classics like Under Siege were at the time of my teenage years "brilliant" and "SO awesome"

If you haven't seen any of this channels videos, especially for the Steve Segal film critiques, then I can recommend it.

 
Mel Gibson also said very bad things about black people as well, would definitely have been fully cancelled if he said them just a few years later. If you haven't heard his recorded rants they are a lot more extreme than you might think. Also reveals a lot about a so called hearthrob's lack of ability to treat women with any kind of respect, but also how weak his persuasive skills are. He gets totally goaded into a state of extreme vitriol against her and starts bringing in other races to insult.

Opie and Anthony listen to and parody the entire calls when they were good many years back. In fact Anthony Cumia is another subsequent fall from grace for similar reasons to Mel Gibson.

Agreed, very good in I AM legend, but every single time I see him on a chat show, he constantly interjects when the host is chatting to other guests, try to always grab the light, and he thinks he is so insightful and funny, when to me he is neither.

Yeap, it was literally heart-breaking for me as I grew up with the Pantera Home Videos as my "happy place" when I was young 15-ish and my mum died, and to see someone I thought of as an actual "hero" destroy themselves with heroin and racism really hurt, no matter that "it was just a joke" was used repeatedly to justify these events which keep happening years apart (showing a pattern) sadly.

I still love the music he's helped create (Pantera, Down etc) but as the person they are, I'd never want to meet them.
