Film/TV stars you dislike and why.

Stephen Fry....I'm sure he's a nice chap, but I absoulely can't stand him, he has this smug air of superiority, and similar to what I said about Will Smith, he does not like it when others are the centre of attention and likes to butt in.

Ewan McGregor - Trainspotting was his pinnacle, Shallow Grave was very good as was Moulin Rouge.

The rest of his roles seems dialed in and all money grabs. Then i met him irl and it's true what they say, don't meet your heroes. I can't watch anything with him in it now :(
He was that awful in person? Tell us more!

He wasn't horrible and i know he is an actor, buuuuuut............

He came out to Afghan to visit the troops and i got to spend some one on one time with him (oo-er). We were getting rocketed daily several times - he was just very quiet, yes/no answers and was bricking it, he couldn't wait to get out of there - i think it was a wake up call for him as to what the troops were experiencing and it was a far far different experience to Hollywood's glitz and glamour.

When i see him on screen now playing the action hero and saving the world and then seeing him in a real life threatening situation, it sort of shattered the illusion of him if you know what i mean?

Tom Cruise - Love the actor, dislike the scientologist.

Gary Lineker - Love the footballer, dislike the very overpaid presenter.

James Woods - Love the actor, dislike the RW vitriol.

Ron Perlman - Love the actor, dislike the LW vitriol.

Phil Anselmo - Love the singer, dislike the repeated white power "jokes".

Mel Gibson - Love the actor, dislike the anti-Jew stuff.

Whoopi Goldberg - Love the Comedian/Actor, dislike the LW vitriol.

Etc etc.

Those are a few of the ones I've personally lost respect for, once they allowed their true self to show-up, some of which are pre-SM and some post-SM exposure. I'm sure that there's plenty of other famous people that other folks now feel the same about ever since seeing the previously "hidden/protected" side exposed by their own behaviour on SM.

What the hell happened to Ron Pearlman? He was great in so many films and TV series, but his Twitter rants are just so embarrassing, for anyone, let alone someone in their seventies. Show some dignity!

The fact that he visited while you were under attack says a lot. Who wouldn't brick it? I'm sure that most of those who are trained still brick it when they come under live fire for the first time...

I don't think Ewan is that great of an actor, but you could apply that same thought process to most actors as they are very rarely anything like the characters you see them play on screen.

I advise you never to have any one on one time with Ross Kemp.

Cage has flat out admitted recently he took on a lot of roles and put in minimum effort just for the paychecks.

I'm aware, but I'm talking about films like face off, ghost rider etc. Some are ok though, but there's something about him that annoys me lol.

Also, Eddie Murphy.

What about Jodie Foster? She's a barrel of laughs.

Rebel Wllson and Ruby Rose. (added them both together as they're Australian and female).
Dislike level: Irrational, punchable.

Both just seem super smug and arrogant to me even though they have achieved very little, imo. Definitely feel like punching the screen when they are on. Pitch Perfect 2 was particularly hard to get through with both of them in it.

Amazing how often smug and arrogant go together with achieved nothing.

Rylan Clark. He is somehow everywhere and I don't understand what people like about him

I think its his big fake ****** teeth that are the star and he's just along for the ride.

Michelle Rodriguez --Every ****** movie, 'I'm the no nonsense taking Latina girl that has a range of about 3 expressions'. **** off..

Dwayne Johnson -- Another one that is basically the same character in every movie. How so many movies gravitate to a roided up ex wrestler is mind boggling.

Gal Gadot-- She, like Rodriguez, seems to have about 3 facial expressions coupled with an annoying accent that just seems to be THERE no matter what part she plays. She could be playing a scouser in a movie and still sound the same. **** off...

Melissa Mc Carthy-- You've heard the phrase 'having a face for radio' she's got a voice for silent movies. Shrill and irritating. Thankfully the only movie I ever seen her in was that 2016 abortion Ghostbusters, but that was more than enough irritation to put her on my **** list. **** right off...

Tamsin Greig I find really irritating for some reason, to a lesser extent in the same vein Emma Thompson (though there is some stuff she is really good in and I don't find irritating) and pretty much any actress who is similar. Not really sure what it is but I really find them tedious.

Whilst the point of this thread isn't to change people's minds, check out his more serious films on Netflix.

Sandler is one I find a bit frustrating - he is actually really good at serious and/or support roles but doesn't do many of them while most of his comedies he and/or the writers and/or directors don't know when to stop and go way over the top and completely ruin it - resulting in a good few movies where I really enjoy the first half then find the second half just unwatchable :( I also get him mixed up with Jason Biggs far too often who is another one who does serious and/or support roles really well but goes way over the top in comedies quickly going from great to unwatchable.

Another one who actually does really well in the small number of roles outside of their normal/typecast, but doesn't do many roles which aren't just playing themselves. I guess they get hired a lot to play basically themselves though.
