Filtering

it annoys me tbh, those that purposely move over or crap themselves and over exaggerate when theres plenty of room to get by

much prefer them to stay still/where they are and ill get by myself

I'll normally give those that just move over sensibly a wave but those who crap themselves and practically drive into the kerb like I'm coming through on an elephant just get laughed at.

Yer I always thank people who purposely move over.
Likewise, although only when it's safe.

I was a bit more 'thanky' early on in my riding, but almost failed to notice the car further ahead as he decided to suddenly switch lanes without indicating. Normally I'd have been looking for the larger gaps that cars might pull into like that, but on this occasion there wasn't one and he just ploughed halfway into the traffic, leaving his backside right in my path... Only time my tyres have actually screeched! :D

Yer true some do do mental things, but at least you know they've noticed you so that's worth an acknowledgment if anything!

I'm so massively mellow and relaxed when riding, compared to how I am in the car it's night and day. I think now I ride I'm even more inpatient in the car as I'm thinking "If I was on my bike". Saying that this morning everyone was ****ing me off on my ride in :o

I hate driving now - I drove to work for a couple of days a few weeks ago and I couldn't drive on my commute now - I'm just so impatient in a car and can't stand sitting in queues.

But the worst, by far, is the 40mph in a 60 zone lot! On a bike, first gap and they're a distant memory, but in a car you have to sit behind them for mile after mile after annoying mile!

I'll normally give those that just move over sensibly a wave but those who crap themselves and practically drive into the kerb like I'm coming through on an elephant just get laughed at.

Same here, there's narrow section I commute through and several times a week cars literally drive IN the verge because they see me behind them, clipping kerbs, half a wheel on the grass  it's always on a blind corner too, just drive normally at a decent speed and I'll overtake when I want to!

As somebody that is new to biking I'm thoroughly enjoying the ability to filter! Did a good bit of filtering under instruction and I'm quite confident doing it...

I just see cars as yet another hazard, and I try not to assume anything, especially the very dangerous assumption that car drivers know what they're doing or that they're spatially aware!

I always make an effort to thank drivers who move over. They're essentially going out of their way to make our journeys easier which is almost exclusive to bikes and emergency vehicles - so they certainly deserve a thank you wave!

Yup, same. Up in Scotland literally every single car would let me pass either by pulling over into the next passing area on single track roads or moving left slightly so I could overtake on the same lane. Was awesome :)

Some people move over like a mental person though. They still get thanks, but it's a bit unnecessary sometimes!

Oh and today I got pulled out on 3 times in town in under an hour. No fast speed stuff or anything close (saw them all creeping), but if I hadn't slowed I would have gone into them.

One guy on my commute home yesterday literally pulled so far over he went up the drop kerb this was at around 50mph and while I was coming up behind him at some pace from traffic lights I had no intention of playing thread the needle on a single carriageway at that speed and was already slowing down well before he crapped himself.
