Final Fantasy 16

Thought it would look better on the PC with everything maxed out but not really. But this game was originally built for the PS4 not PS5 and you can really see that with the textures.

Finished it on the PS5 already so I won't be double dipping.

This is actually something that I have been waiting for on PC, I liked is on PS5 but the framerate was not very good so I didn't play it for long. I'll download the demo later, as long as the FPS is better I will deflinetly get t.

Just tried this and not impressed. Looks like a poor port, 30fps cutscenes and ultrawide (at least for my monitor) is not working properly or not supported. Shame :(

Finished the demo. Not bad. But nothing special either was what I came away with.

Will definitely buy,l and play it, but based on what I played it will have to be at a heavily discounted price.

Be warned ... if this demo is the same as the console version ie. the opening 2 hrs, then it is the best part of the game. It's steadily downhill from there.

Damn. Why did it get such good reviews? Lol
Gawd knows.

Really disappointing experience. First couple of hours seems great then - boring runs across boring maps for the same boring combat. Collectables/mats that arent really needed. Bland upgrade system.

This is not a FF game - more like a gimped Devil May Cry.

Thats how I heard it described before: DMC Lite

It's like those guys are stuck in the past and not in a good way.

I wished they had a team that made a final fantasy that goes back to turn based actually to be honest. If you are going to be stuck in the past, then do it right

Played this for a few hours last night.

The differences from the previous game are more than subtle.

I didn’t expect it to be that good at first, at least based on the very plain and almost dated art style and animations, but after a while I started to see the intricacies of its art direction and in fact how effective and powerful even the writing is.

It’s got a very classic story driven style to it. The hack and slash action when combined with the extensive cut scenes surprisingly ends up working very well to progress the plot based narrative.

Absolutely not what I was expecting, but then there’s a good reason people keep buying consoles.

It’s also extremely well optimised, and there’s absolutely no stutter. However, it took a driver update and not playing with the settings for things to settle down.

It’s also running quite well at 4K60 on an RTX 3070. VRR is recommended, and it can be quite demanding on the CPU.
