Final Fantasy VII REBIRTH (Remake Part 2)

Anyone else eagerly awaiting the notification that their order has been shipped? :D

I know it's unlikely to get your order a day or two early, but I've had it happen once or twice in the past. Sods law I've jinxed myself now and it'll turn up late!

100%, I've booked a long weekend to play it as well!

This followed by Unicorn Overlord a week later, and then Dragons Dogma 2 later this month, good time to be in gaming!

This is going to be one of the best years for gaming they I can remember in a long time. Eiyuden Chronicle is out soon too, and I have Persona 3 Reload to go back to once I finish Rebirth. I really need to find somewhere to fit Dragons Dogma 2 in.

Eiyuden Chronicle and P3R are both on the PC game pass so I am playing them there, I completed P3R already but Eiyuden Chronicle is due in April it looks like.

Helps to have some stuff I have to buy and others I can get on the sub model like these.

Unicorn Overlord is very cool check out the demo if you haven't yet, it's a long 5-6 hour trial/demo version so you really get to try it out before you commit to buying.

Gonna buy today and get the pre load going - now just to find the hours spare to actually play it / remake took me months and I really only got it done because I was confined to a single room with Covid!

Welp, PS5 ordered. Should be arriving tomorrow, and I can pre-load when it arrives. I didn't want to do this, but I'm hoping I can knock it out within Amazon's return window. I can't justify keeping the console for the sake of 1 game, especially with the rumblings of a PS5 Pro being released this Christmas.

You're buying a console just to play 1 game and then return it!? lol

That is pretty shameless!

My order from TCG outlet for physical version has shipped. Hopefully it's on 24 hour and will appear early, would be nice.

I bought a PS5 for this as well; it's exclusive until May sometime; so I guess that's when they start working on the port...
To be fair; the Final Fantasy series is becoming a very expensive hobby; I bought a PS4 for FF7 Remake, and I bought a PS3 for FFX/X-2 Remastered.

What?!?!?! Come on man?!!

Considering you are buying the game digital too. Can't get a return there.

Very unlikely an PS5 Pro (if at all) will be this year when Sony already said they are not releasing any big AA titles this year. It would be a stupid move for nothing on its release to demonstrate its power being a Pro console.

Fully pre-loaded the digital version; I forgot I could start it yesterday.
I'm fairly sure there was a lengthy install process once the pre-load was completed last time tho.

I cancelled the physical Deluxe Edition and ordered the normal. After I found out the mini soundtrack and art book are digital versions in the Deluxe Edition

I ordered from Shopto on 11th Jan, and I've still not got the dispatched email. I was really hoping I'd get it a day earlier :( Hurts especially since I know someone else that they got their copy from Amazon yesterday.

Not that I'm trying to justify the practice, but why is it scummy exactly? I'm not returning a used toothbrush, and I'm not returning it as brand new/unused. Amazon's return policy is 30 days, and they re-sell returned items more often than not as warehouse stock, at a slight discount. I specifically got it from Amazon because of that reason - hopefully so that it won't go back into "new" stock. That way, the new buyer gets a small discount, and they have the benefit of Amazon's return policy and warranty and all the rest of it.

I could buy it, play the game, then sell it through ebay/marketplace/etc., but the new buyer has no returns or warranty benefits, so they're worse off?

Would you still do it if it was against a smaller, UK based retailer?

Say, OCUK...?
