That’s fine, I’m like that with the Witcher series cannot get into at all

I’m torn on this in sense of digital or physical I own remake one digitally so logic is saying keep this digital

Physical is cheaper at least.

£55 from Currys with the code Rebirth20 and about the same from The Game Collection which is where my pre order is.

Buy it on PS5, complete it

Buy it on PC on a sale in a couple of years time, complete again.

That's essentially how I handled remake part 1 lol
 
Okay so giving the remake a second go. Enjoying it more this time around. But damn some of the dungeon sections are TOO long (running around the train tracks followed by the rafters above midgar was soul destroying honestly. Just hit airbuster now)

Yeah it’s my number 2 gripe with the game (second only to the {what I feel}) are the overly long for no good reason boss fights. I’ve just completed it and wanted to tear my hair out but the end of the three long end boss battles. It’s just not fun imho.

It’s not helped by the fact I probably suck at the combat and missed a load of materia that some would say is required

Indeed. I just stuck it on easy from the get go and the boss battles don’t seem too long at the moment. With the exception of the scorpion bot.

I just hack and slash until thing is dead. Rarely use materia as it takes me out the flow of combat.

Edit. In fact, I rarely swap to other characters during battle either. Maybe I’m playing it wrong.

There are one or two parts that I felt really dragged in the Remake to be fair, the train ghost yard and the section between Aries home and Wall Market in particular.

Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed every moment, although I'll admit I would have preferred a different combat model, preferably TB.

It's not a hack'n'slash, if you set up your materia and skills properly, it gets more fun.

Switching between characters is also pretty important, the reason why fights take so long is because people don't know how to take advantage of the systems.

Not my favourite combat system but it's decent when you explore your options.

Curious what changes they've made in Rebirth.

The barrel was also terrible. TBh most of the game was forgettable for me. Couldn't tell you the name of any of the new characters etc.
Oddly though, one of my favourite parts was when you go to Jesse's parents house. It added something to the character we never saw in the OG.
 
Ugh. All this whisper BS could have been totally left out of the game. I don’t care one bit for it. And now I’m battling three of them, with a bigger one to follow. Christ.

Edit. The first part should have finished at the end of the damn highway. None of this ghost whisper ****. I feel like it’s ruined the experience for me.

Yep felt the same. Tbh the whole thing overall was probably a 5/10 for me at best.

Yeah, it dragged the ending out longer than it should.
