*Final FIFA 2008 League* - signup and opinions.

Euro 2008 was great, it was just buggy and crashed too much :( (Annoying when you're winning a ranked game and it crashes, giving the other player a default win ;/)

Can't say I've noticed that either, or heard about it myself.

I realise that the feel of the game is personal opinion and thats fine, but Euro 2008 has never crashed here :confused:

I play it pretty often and for extended period as well.

Fifa 07 was the worst for random lock ups, whether it be when looking at a players stats, the goal keeper not bothering to kick the ball and the game clock just ticking away and just general crashes here there and everywhere.

Fifa 08 and Euro 08 have been fine though

There is (Or at least was!) a lot of talk about it on the EA UK Forums, it's player induced crashes (People triggering crashes somehow during cutscenes), but EA don't seem to have found the cause yet :|

I played it a fair bit, only reason it irritated me so much was that I was ranked in the top10 (Would have easily been top 5 without the cheats ;/), I could go on a 20 game streak but then have someone crash the game and take the default, if they were a low rank I'd end up with almost the same amount of points i had pre-streak >_<

This was on the PS3 btw, I thought about getting the 360 version recently but I just can't be bothered with it anymore, waiting for FIFA09 before trying to take over the world again :p

I loved the feel of the game, it suited my style of play perfectly, to the point where I'm struggling to adapt back to FIFA08 - which is worrying me :(
 
Ah okay right... I'm talking about the 360 version.

I played both demos and found the PS3 version to be slightly less responsive, not quite as fluid and it seemed a little jerky compared to the 360 version.

I ended up buying it on the 360 instead :)

I totally agree with you on going back to FIFA though. The games feel like they're from a different generation or have been developed by different groups.

I honestly don't enjoy FIFA 08 much any more as it just seems to be missing things I've got used to in Euro 08... and the gameplay seems.. lacking. Shocking considering that when FIFA 08 came out I was claiming it to be really good in terms of gameplay.

I hope FIFA 09 doesn't take a step back, if Euro 08 is an inclination of what's to come from this years FIFA I'll be a very happy chappy :D
 
I have the 360 version of Euro 08 and its the buggiest game I have on the console. I've seen the sort of crashes Dans talking about online as well as other bugs ranging from annoying to insane. Phantom player anyone? :p
 
Only bugs I've experienced in it are not being able to upload my country gamer score, countries flags disappearing in group tables or stats tables.

I haven't played it online that often, so I guess I've just been lucky in the few times I have played online. So if all the bugs your talking about are online specific I guess that would be why I've not noticed them :)
 
Unfortunately the majority of bugs have been off line for me. Watching the physics break and the ball yo yo around the pitch before snapping to someones feet is the funniest and the invisible player has to be seen to be believed, its even hit the bar against me. Last week I played a whole be a pro career with my brother and several times the game froze and lost all the HUD until it was paused then unpaused. I think I listed a ton of bugs when I first got the game in another thread, it was the same then with a few of us getting them and others not.

Wow, that is crazy. I had rented the game and have not seen any of these bugs. The only bug I had was the pitch turning black while it was showing you players being substitued. I would love to have seen the crazy yo yo ball, might make for some spectacular replays. :)

Oooh yes, sorry that's one bug I notice often... however it's such a constant bug that it's almost become invisible because it happens so often!

Totally agree about the yo yo ball or invisible player part, if this is true then upload the videos and send us a link - I'd love to see them.
 
Do a Youtube search for Euro 08 invisible player theres a few on there of it dribbling past people and even taking shots. I would link but kiddies like to swear in the comments under the videos. Its an eye popping moment when it happens thats for sure :p
 
I will be moving into my new house (finally if you remember me bangin on about it for so long) on wednesday, so depending on how quick I can push through the internet getting activated I'd love to join in, but I don't think I'll be ready in time

So I'll say I'll be a reserve, if anyone drops out I'll take their current points and team and finish the league, keeps the numbers up
