Final Picked up a 59 plate Civic Type R GT

Fn2 annoys me in the sense it's miles better looking inside and out from the ep3, but didn't really move the game on performance wise. Still a great drive though.

@unlight - I was considering the Rage alloys heard it makes the ride a lot harsher?

To be honest, I never drove the Type R with the standard alloys on for any great length of time when test driving so I can't really compare. The ride is certainly firm and a little harsh on bad roads, but I don't see you noticing a big difference, they are only an inch bigger!

Main problem I have found with the rages are that they are very easy to mark, mine actually corroded a little with the grit on the roads during last winter, cheap enough to get put right though!

Keep an eye out on owners forums you should be able to pick up a set quite cheaply, I think they would make your car look amazing!

Where does the Type R sit in terms of performance? Is it comparable to the Golf Gti for instance? I like the look of that but the alloys are underwhelming and it doesn't look as sporty as the red one posted a few posts up. Nice car, though, so enjoy.

Blue is the best colour.

What he says about the ride and seats are just plain stupid, it is hard but softer than my old Ibiza and the seat is easy to adjust.

With regards to the speed tbh the extra luxuries of the new car make up for it imo

The ride on the FN2 is appalling. Also the build quality is pretty shocking - never heard so many squeaks and rattles in a new car.

Really, I haven't had a single issue or rattle yet and its just hit a year of driving on super crappy roads in Hull, which is pretty much like driving over a plowed, frozen field.
