Finally, a Northern meet thread.

Well, i've finally found some time to organise a meet oop north lol. This is the first i've organised so any advice would be greatly received, but i've pretty much got the basics covered and will add more details if and as needed.

Meeting place, date & time

The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge (YO62 7LQ)

Sat 6th June, 11AM - So hopefully nice weather

11AM - Meet in the Lion Inn carpark, meet and greet etc.

12PM - Lunch in the Lion Inn, i'll book at a table closer to the time when i get an idea of numbers attending.

1.30PM (or after lunch) Drive to Pickering, North Yorkshire,

Overall, about 40 miles (subject to change if needed), Once in Whitby, we'll park up, though at this time of year we'll probably have to pay to park in one of the car parks, but we'll stop anyway and chat etc, maybe go get some fish and chips if you're hungry, after all, that's what Whitby is famous for. apart from that, i'm not sure what else happens on a meet lol, so as above, advice would be appreciated

Wez, OT but how many actuations had that camera done that I got off you.

It's giving me tons of error 99s now. Sending it off tomorrow to get it looked at.

hmmm, at a guess, i bought it new in september '07, so it was just over a year old when you bought it, so i'd guess at the very very most 10,000 actuations and that's being generous to be honest. Is it with any particular lens or anything, try cleaning the contacts on the lens mount and see if it happens, it definitely shouldn't be happening so soon (though i don't know how much you've used it lol).

FWIW, i never had any err99's on it.

Noticed a few of us are in Teesside, mini convoy to the Lion Inn anyone?

I'll leave it up to you lot for where to meet up if we do, T-park possibility?
