Aaargh, some n00b drove into my passenger side wing this morning trying to park their vectra at work, luckily he came to find me and tell me what he'd done, (the 1st time in no less than 5 seperate incidents to my last 2 cars (i seem to attract hit n runners

)). The bloke wants to settle without insurance and my mate is getting me a price to get it sorted so *hopefully* it'll be fixed before next weekend.

In other good news, my mate (who's a workshop manager at jennings ford), has just secured me a quote to get the scrape from my front wing (courtesy of bad driver at my workplace), and the 3" key scratch which is down to the metal (courtesy of scum in Great Ayton

), all for £300

, bad news though it won't be before the meet

That respray quote actually sounds quite expensive to me?

Well halfords quoted me £380 for the scratch alone, then the wing has a slight dent on the crease too, plus the respray, it really isn't that expensive

Anyway, i'm going to have no access to a pc for the next 2 days as i'm away on business in Stockport and the blue shirt brigade have taken my laptop in because the charger is knackered

. I'll be home on Friday evening and hope to speak to Tom / Peter then about meeting up. For everyone else, i'll see you at the pub at 11.30.

Finally home from Manchester, got stuck in a 10 mile traffic jam near Huddersfield, so took me 4 hours instead of the usual 2 hours

Tom, i need your address, Pete is coming to mine then we'll drive to yours.

Naf, as long as you are still coming, you could come to Middlesbrough and join us if you like. (Unless you get a better offer lol).

Google weather seems to have changed its mind and thinks it might be sunshine showers, but then google weather has always been a bit crap lol.

Ok, i'll be the first to reply. I've just got back 10 minutes ago and the others will all be on their way home, we called it a day at 7.20ish so had a great day, drove some great roads and got stuck behind some frustrating drivers lol.

Thanks everyone that came, had a good turn out in the end, just the right amount to be fair actually (11 cars). Now i'll have to look through my photos

some of you were mad, i thought Darryn was gonna hit me when he handbraked it at sandsend carpark, the 'white streak' aka, Tim's Type R flying past the lion inn was also fun. I'm suprised we never had a police presence at some point (that doesn't include the van that drove past us in Saltburn).

I can't wait to sort another one out now

Don't worry about it lol, i don't think it did really, i just heard a stone hit my bodywork somewhere, tbh i couldn't care less as i'm having half a spray job done in a few weeks anyway to get rid of the key mark on my rear half etc.
