Finally got it 3090

3090s can pull well over 400 watts on their own, add in a power hungry 10900k and you are getting very close to the limit.

What can push you over the edge is as PSUs age their output reduces.

Far better to go with a bit of overkill and use at least a 1000W PSU with the above setup.

The other thing to remember is not all games and resolutions need the same amount of power to run, sometimes max settings and 2160p is a killer for PSUs.
Ah i didn't take into consideration of the 10900k being as thirsty as a 3080 lol. It's no wonder with my 9600k im drawing under 600w. I doubt theres going to be much difference if i upgraded to a 9900k power wise.

Boring I know, but I had to tell someone, I went to a store and actually found one of these buggers in stock, didn't buy though too expensive for moi

'Buy a 5000w power supply' seems to be the internet's go-to answer for pc related issues atm.

No need I already have PSUs that can put out 10200 Watts between them.:p

PSUs are responsible for a lot of PC problems and it is something you should not skimp on in a high end system using a 3090.

most aib models say 850w no?
Ah, not looked. So, AIB's 100w less efficient then for a hefty premium and minimal performance improvement? :p. Tbh I'd go with 850 just to be safe but I think a 750w quality power supply would be more than enough. NV even state a lower rating might even be enough depending on system configuration
