I hope so Aneskimo have had boxes sat around for months gathering dust :)

Its not a fancy all singing all dancing excerise in spending too much money, have tried to balance cost and performance and this is what I came up with.

Job 2 Graphics Cards

Old faithfull will do as a stand in

While I set about getting these 2 all necked, not a task I am looking forward too but it has to be done

Those Ek Logo's are history!

And where did you find that motherboard too? you lucky so and so :p

It appeared ... as if by magic from a van with tnt on the side :)

Looking good, although this thread badly needs higher resolution pictures! ;)

If you want me to host them just throw them into an e-mail and I'll reply with the links. )

Hi Mark will make em a bit bigger thanks for your offer though much appreciated :)

Ahhhhah so that's how they do it. I'm sure I saw a youtube video with a 900d packed with SP fans but the inserts were pastel orange

Only thing I can think of are angled connects and sli connects unless of course you're confident with your plumbing ;)

Don't be dissin the pastel orange or you will have me and davido labido to contend with :D Nah your right actually the orange (I tried it) was way to garish the dull copper colour will compliment a few bits I blue petered earlier ... I hope so anyways

One down 1 to go

Normally I just chuck screws in the draw but being a bit more carefull this time

Is it wrong to feel the way I do when I see a naked GK110 ? :o

*Chants* Bigger.. BIGGER! BIGGER!! */Chants* :D

I'd use the max width allowed which if memory serves is 1280, especially as you are using spoiler tags as well!

That way everyone can truly appreciate the shiny without squinting too much! ;)

Ok sorry have made em a bit bigger ..... can you see them yet? :)

P2350 will look awesome with that build:D

Nah will stick with this that ones purely a back up :)

*Squints*.... Just about! ;)

Those blocks look lovely!

They are, or were until it came time to put the backplates on 1 was fine the second seemed to be missing a few holes will post up some more "larger" pics tomorrow that's me done for the evening :)

I am impressed with the build so for it looks epic

Thanks swiftmetal .... its living proof of the old addage "if I can do it anyone can" :D

at last!!!!

Looking forward to this T

Just a heads up, you may have a bad time with a 3820 and 1600mhz vengeance. Seriously un-clockable memory, so once you head north of 4.3ghz and start using the straps which changes memory speed the dimms just flake out.

I believe thats the UD7 I had is it? Wonderful board, regret shifting it those many months ago.

Aye must admit the memory choice has been bugging me but thankfully its something I can change easily without fussing with the build care to recommend any in particular?

Whoa... those Gpu's look nice T

This could be the build that inspires me into some water cooling ;)

:D You know fine well you never stay still long enough to watercool, and am putting an alarm on it when its done because I know you will drop by for a brew and try taking it with you ;)

Morning FFoot :)

Not good :(

The res does not fit even tried a spare on the off chance nope. Short of fixing res to case and having a run of tubing between it and the dual top cant think of what else I can do at the moment.

Don't really want to re design the loop guess I will have to order a res that fits and wait for it to arrive ...... gah!!!!

The res I wanted to use was an Ek x2 res 250 multi option anyone care to recommend a replacement?

Can you not just put a g1/4 male/male barrel between the top and the res? Would join them together without tubing....

I would have done that Paul but it would make it look a bit fugly have ordered the correct res and it should be here in the morning .... feet up for an hour or two methinks :)

First of all - ABOUT TIME!

What exactly is the problem with the RES?

Afternoon S the res is absolutely fine but I was looking at the box when I ordered fittings, the D5 link was fine but the res is 60mm not the 50mm I needed. My own fault for not checking properly.

Hope all is well and hows fatherhood? :)

Afternoon :)
SO dual D5 eh? I would love to know how much flow you would have!(Although flow is not as much effective in lowering temps in my view).

I have 2 x D5's as well but one is sitting in my goodies box :) I want to put 2 x D5s in my loop just for the kicks but it is very hard to find a dual top(which is not made by EK).

Fatherhood is going well, Now I am trying to finish work and go home by 5pm - or erlier - every day :)
I guess I still have one more mod run left in me ;)

Good luck with the build, show us your plan, how are you planing to put the loop?

Afternoon S :)

Glad to hear family is all ok long may it continue!

I ordered the correct bits n pieces Friday for Saturday delivery only they sent the wrong stuff not happy at all especially as I paid a premium for pre noon delivery grrrr.

Decided to just make the best of what I have it means changing the look and probably the loop but am getting stuck in, and by the time I get refunds for all the new/unused stuff I might be able to retire :D

Am not much good with photoshop so the loop so far

Res > 2 x d5 > mb > cpu > 780 >780 > 480 rad > 480 rad

Not totally sure which res to use, the one I got from you has too many options which is only serving to confuse me even more especially with those crystal links :eek::)

Need to put thoughts to pen and paper try and unravel the chaos.

The red bitspower is definitely out gah I dunno maybe a lunch break would be a better idea.

Fair point T, it will look epic once done.

Have you gotten to the point of wishing you hadn't bothered yet? I get that a few times a build, have a sulk and a cig then get back at it :p

Oh yes indeed about 11am yesterday morning when postie delivered the wrong stuff was hopping mad, as you say a sulk few cigs and back at it today .... I think

Cheers for the kind words peeps :)

Just adding anti-vibration cage to the dual top and took a look at the threads, they are very dis-coloured almost rusty looking, not impressed they plaster the shiny silver logo everywhere yet use rotten looking mounts??

Decided rather than wait for yet more replacements am just going to use the initial res from Avatar77 as follows

Res will be mounted 3-4 inches above the dual top block
so flow will be

1. Res > pumps > top quad rad >mosfets > cpu > gpu > gpu > lower quad rad > Res 2

Am thinking both pumps set to 3 3.5 should be enough to push to top rad around and down through second rad and back to res using the top inlet as a fillport

If it looks like it could be done differently or more efficiently please let me know I can take criticism if its constructive :)
