Finishing a post with your username at the bottom

Have you accidentally failed to notice that your username is to the left of each and every one of your posts? :)

Yeah, because everyone looks at forums in the exact same way as you :) We all have it maximised accross the entire screen so we can see both the user's name and their post, because lets face it - no-one multi-tasks or likes to view more than one window at a time!

Just face the fact that not everyone views the forum in the same way as you. When I'm at home, I have multiple MSN conversations up on screen, and as such I make my browser thinner, and move it to the side, meaning I can't see who made the post. So what do I use? Signitures and sign-offs. It's really not that hard to comprehend.

At the end of the day, what does it matter? Everyone has a different posting style. It doesn't affect anyone, after all its only a bit of text on a page.

How people can find it insulting is beyond me! :)

Its a bit stupid to put your name at the bottom of every post when your username is attached to all your posts. Its a waste of space tbh.

I think people who sign their name are spasticated, it's really not that hard to comprehend either ;)

Along with other things - abbreviations, poor spelling and punctuation, it is something that has evolved from Forum posting.

As with any of the above that annoys me when I see something that bugs me I just ignore it.

Life is too short...and this thread has gone on for far too long.

Nice sidestep :)

Signing your name after every post is retarded I'm afraid. But if you can find a nice way to justify it to yourself which avoids that unpalatable truth then go for it :)

For someone who I've always respected for their ability to put forwards a balanced and insightful debate, you've sure made yourself out to be quite the tool in this thread :(

Now quickly, O' mighty one, you best go and berate all those other people with a view opposing yours now! Fly away, your time is limited!

I really do find all the posts complaining about others doing this quite funny.
Is it really that much of a problem?

Hmm yes it's a real hardship isn't it :(
If it increases the readability of the forum then what's the problem? It's not like every sign-off personally jumps off the screen and kicks you in the balls is it?

You clearly didnt read my post. #111

I read it, but it is something very irrational to get insulted about. I could say that I get insulted by your current sig because it's purple and thus distracts my eyes when I'm quickly scrolling down the page. Are you that arrogant to pick the colour PURPLE for your sig and thus distract me whenever I scroll down the page! How dare you!!! My point is that whilst some 'crazies' will get annoyed by anything they have to be taken with a pinch of salt, especially when the action moaned about generally enhances readability for others.

I sound like robot reading that...lol.

It's how I read your signature too. :p

Also, what does 'yeap' mean?

I read that as, "yeep", but I don't know if that's right.
