Firefox 3.5 is out!

Struggling like hell without Tab Mix Plus - may go back to 3.0 if it takes too long to arrive.

Hope they fix it soon by default, some of my pics on my website look awful.

It's an issue with the ICC profile your monitor uses. It'll be at least 3.6 (or whatever version number the next major version of Firefox has, no one actually knows yet) before it's fixed.
The issue is the colour management system in 3.0 (lcms) supported ICCv4 but was slow; that was changed for qcms in 3.5 which is faster (by ~5x) but only does ICCv2.

Your monitor likely uses an ICCv4 profile and so weird things happen. Common ones seem to be Dell TFTs and some Samsungs.

Ah i see, thanks for that. I use a BenQ FP241W 24"

At least i can disable it for now until the next major FF release.

I'm using a v4 profile on my screen created by Lacie Blueeye Pro and have no such colour issues in 3.5 so if it is v4 based issue then it's only isolated to non standard properties created by 3rd party software or coming from TFT makers who bundle non standard v4 profiles!

is anyone else having problems opening some websites with firefox 3.5? some websites refusing to connect even though i kow they work

Perhaps if you mentioned some sites that aren't working for you then someone else can check if Firefox 3.5 works for them on a site you've got problems with? :)
