Firefox 3.7 with GPU support available

No faster than chrome for me.

maybe its not working in your setup, its got limited compatibility since its alpha.

i was very skeptical about it at first but i'm surprised at how noticeably fast it really is , especially when viewing picture/video galleries.

actually its kinda like running a game at 60fps lol

LOL :D

3.7a makes my screen look ugly. The whole of OcUK looks blurry, the font is fuzzy and blocky, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the way of useful options to fix0r it. I'll wait for it to at least hit beta I think. :)

no blurriness here, but it does look different ... better imo lol, but i'm using a 17inch laptop.

It's in alpha, what do you expect? :)

Ermm, instead of being a jackass and trying to be clever, perhaps you should take a step back and look at those who are having good experiences with it.

Obviously not everyone has been having the same issue as me and are saying it's fast, so I would say my case isn't down to it being an alpha (which I'm more than aware it is, thanks).

And maybe you should stop caring about a browser so much.

"You dislike my browser of choice...? YOU JACKASS!"

:D

It has nothing to do with him or anyone disagreeing with a choice of mine, just his post was arrogant and suggested I didn't know the downsides to pre-release software.

This is what happens when the post is in GD though and not Windows sub-forum, you get the smart Alec's and not those who would rather suggest what may be causing the problem me and another poster are having. :)

Doesn't seem any faster than firefox 3.5.5 to me, If anything it seems a little slower,

I am running windows 7 with a 1GB 4870 but my q6600 is more than enough to not need gpu support to accelerate the browser

I like it. Quicker for me, plus it looks smoother. If I have no problems with this can I just use it in replacement of my normal firefox?

If you're going to run something that's at least two versions ahead of the stable version, you really shouldn't be letting it near your profile (let alone your bookmarks) in the first place.

Instead of some random site with no link, there's the horse's mouth.

It's unlikely, given the amount of work involved, that this will happen for 3.7 though. It's based on mozilla-central, i.e. the development trunk, which only has the version number 3.7a1pre because it's easier (for Mozilla) to increment version numbers than decrement.
