Thanks bud. Seems like Im affected by this.
So is it just a firmware update I take it? Back up required etc?
Whatabout RAID 0 etc?

Doesn't seem to work with RAID currently.

Backup is recommended - it updates the firmware and "restores" cell functionality on the drive - took about 1 hour 15 minutes for my almost full 250GB drive with so far no problems or data loss.

Did mine, took around 55 mins on a 256gb 2/3 full.

Hadn't noticed any issues before and it's always seemed quick :p

I also picked up an annoying piece of malware searching for 'CrystalDiskMark' and installing their latest version - homepage/search and browser hijack. Think it was version 6 something, removed it using malwarebytes and 'Adware Removal Tool' from techsupportall.com so be warned guys!

Sounds like typical ad-supported installer stuff, always read every step when you install things.

Anyone else getting weird results under win8.1?

Here's mine, whilst doing regular stuff on my pc (like browsing OCUK etc :))

edit: why won't my pic show? I've tried dropbox and onedrive links now.
Can someone advise please? Imagshaft wants money before i can use it again.

That one isn't a link to an image, it's a onedrive page showing the image.

So.....still cant get pic to show, but this is my pre-update benches with RAPID mode disabled.

I assume i'd benefit from the update? considering the peaks and troughs shown on HD Tune?

Same one again, but that one is just a 'shortcut' to the onedrive page.

As it's a page rather than an image the forums cannot display the content - ie look for an image hosting service which allows you to share a link to the imagine ending in the filetype (.JPG etc)

Edit: It's nothing to do with the semi-clad men on your desktop. :p

To get your pic from onedrive to work do the following

Right-click on the picture, click on View Original. The picture will open in a browser window/tab. Copy the URL from the address bar into your forum post with the img tags

I can't keep up with all these different threads….

4 minutes ?

Are your sure ?

I find that hard to believe. Even mine with nothing on them took 10 - 15 minutes as Step 3 took the longest.

Read performance seems low for the 120… Except this is on AMD 1090. Crosshair IV Formula.

Vs the 250 on Intel

Both:
AHCI On
Sata 6Gb/s (SATA3) with twin shaped cables
Hibernation Off
Indexing Service/Search Off
Prefetch/Superfetch Off
Disk Defrag Disabled

Yet both bootup in 4/5 seconds. No Rapid or instant boot enabled.
