First 5830 Review

balls really same as 4830 , aether stick with 4870 1 gig 4890 1 gig or 260 gtx no point for it or upgrade to 5850 when gets cheaper

I'd rather buy a 5850 than spend £224 on two 5770's, not to mention the £112 5770's are by companies with bad warranty and non existent rma.

Surely two 5770's will outperform a 5850? but then I suppose you have to factor in a motherboard with 2 16x PCIE slots.

LOL £205.99. What's the point. I did say over and over this would happen although I thought they would be about £190

EDIT: and at the exact same time, the 5850's are increased in price

Yep fail, but I'd wait for more results, if it uses the same pcb as 5870 and is made same way as 4830 was last time, it would most likely clock to 5870 speeds easily and maybe higher, could be not bad bang for buck if you could get within 10-15% range to performance of 5870 @ 100-150 less.

I'm sure they will drop prices soon and I'd say something like 170/180 is still fair shot if they OC that well.

I'm not sure the higher-than-it-should-be price can be justified by overclocking potential...and I wouldn't expect a price drop on these any time soon...
