Is this anygood??

For what you need it to do,It should do the Job,But as said before don't expect miracles because you will be disappointed.
Also whats the price?

If it is an auction, the final selling price will likely be in the £15-30 region, depending on who is bidding. I also believe you mean E6400, as E6600 runs at 3.06Ghz. Still, it will be fine for what you need it for.

Look if he told me he had 1k to spend i wouldnt of reccomended the same parts would i,If this is all the guy feals he needs,Then thats cool right?

I can't believe this is a genuine thread? Some dude wants to have a Pentium 4 as his first build?

Or upgrade it? Come on here...............

Well if he wants a Pentium 4 for his first build, he can. It may be outdated, but it's a starting point for somebody who's only just starting to build systems.

Don't be so rude, I have a pentium 4 System and it runs fine, I also have a Pentium III, which I recently upgraded, and Its my day to day system for browsing e.t.c. since 2000.

I mean why bother with something about a million years old?

Why?

Because I'm a 17 Year old with not a lot of money, I have Saturday job at a pub collecting glasses, and the pays rubbish.
I brake caravans, and build tear-drop trailers with my Dad to get some more money with him (It's a 50/50 split type of thing with buying the caravans aswell) and the money earned from them is used on the tear-drops or me buying engine parts for my vw air-cooled engine rebuild.
I'm also trying to save up so i can go to Florida next year, So money is a little bit tight at the minute, shouldn't be in the next couple of days so my budget can possibly go up abit I think.

But i wasn't going to use the pentium 4 thats what i was told, adn go for a intel pentium 2 duo core, quad core etc

And the build is a cheap build and will be the fastest pc in my house so im not to bothered tbh, the parts are used and maybe out of date abit but if it works. And is still a good upgrade for my system im not bothered :D

I wouldn't even bother with stuff like that. Jesus, i have seen better stuff fall out of Noah's Arc

Well tell me what CPU to get?? i should get for my motherboard then! £0.99-£25

Also tell me What Graphics card i should get??? I want one that has a hdmi port as well Budget £30-£45

Also does anyone Know what GhZ size i should get and cache size for the CPU??

I have also found a brand new Coolermaster GX-550W PSU it came with his tower.

It's only 20 min drive from me so if i say £25 for buying it, and £10 in juice :D and it still has the warranty if i register it with cooler master i believe.

Mate don't explain yourself,And regarding the PSU it's not the best,Personally Id try and get hold of a corsair vx550w.
