Hi All, currently at the end (I hope) of my first build and i'm stumped connecting the PSU to the power supply.

Motherboard - AORUS ELITE INTEL Z390 (SOCKET 1151)
PSU - Antec EarthWatts Gold Pro 650W 80 Plus Gold Modular

I've connected the 24 pin main connector and i'm left with two inputs on the top left ATX_12V_2X2 and ATX_12V_2X4 and a cable from the PSU with two sets of 4 one marked B? and two sets of 6+2 pins.

Can anyone help explain what I am supposed to be connecting here?

Please go easy on me! :D

Thanks in advance

plug this into

doesn't have a second EPS 12v cable, but you don't really need it for day-to-day usage.

Thanks, after reading it again it made sense and on the first boot everything snapped into life much to my surprise. However my joy was short lived as I'm getting no display from the GPU or motherboard :(

Have you selected the correct input on the monitor via it's menu?

EDIT: What CPU do you have?

Are you saying you briefly had a display of the splash screen?

And if you did, when it disappeared did the system power off or was everything still running but no screen output?

I was told to buy a stupidly huge CPU cooler
indeed :p kudos to the person who suggested it :D

For the GPU I plugged the separate PCI cable, guessing I should have just used the one prewired to the PSU?
Use both independent leads
this.

Code:
    cable -------------------> PCIE --> GPU
                                         spare connector flopping about

    cable -------------------> PCIE --> GPU
                                         spare connector flopping about

Have you got the PCI-E power connectors fitted to the GPU?

What’s the monitor, what’s the cable?

Have you tried connecting the cable to the iGPU?

it was meeeeeee... :cool:
Yeah, i noticed when i searched for his spec.

I have no issue with choice of cooler (excellent performance/quiet) - more the smiles of a novice builder opening up a house brick with fans knowing he's got to fit it to his CPU. :)

He's gone suspiciously quiet...
