First PC Build - Warning, thread will have blunders.

It's flying!
Properly chuffed with it, can play even the least optimised games *cough* pubg *cough* on ultra and average 90fps.

Still doesn't quite like Nvidia hairworks though!!

Despite this clear boost in hardware capability, it unfortunately hasn't made me any better at games and my aim is still shoddy. Just bought a mouse mat to see if that helps my mouse jumping around (currently aging on a leather desk pad thing). Hopefully it'll improve me!

Unsure what my next purchase should be, I'm thinking a new monitor, as I'm currently using two Toshiba TVs. Think a nice beautiful screen would suit the build perfectly

I'm really tempted by an ultra wide as they look gorgeous on some games, but feel it may look awkward on others.

The 144hz does sound interesting for sure, but don't think my untrained eyes would tell the difference

Have had a couple of issues recently seeming to come from my GPU.

Every time I launch a new game it fails to load it in the correct resolution and often just shows a black screen.

Today I had an error (Code 43) come up where the GPU just stopped working for some reason. I've uninstalled the driver and am currently trying to redownload it from the disc, but it gets to a certain stage and everything goes black again.. Getting very confused

Edit: seems to be loading up correctly now, may have just been a slightly wrong driver. I'll keep an eye on it

I'll try that.

Today I booted up to a black screen, there wasn't any video input showing on the screens.
When I rebooted, it got to the desktop but not applications would open, I could open up the start bar and everything, but no applications would open at all. Wouldn't even do the hover over state when the translucent box comes up around the icon

I think I found the issue. The settings in the Nvidia control panel were down as Resolution 1080i and 30Hz... I've now changed that. Lets see if that works haha

Hi again all,

I've been having a few issues with my PC recently. A few crashes over the past two weeks. All seem to be different errors each time.
I've tried to find solutions for them but haven't found anything conclusive at all.
They're in this spoiler below - if anyone can give me a bit of advice on how I could prevent these from happening, that would be great!

Thanks,
Nathan

I'll try reinstalling the drivers again, cheers. It'll be the fifth time i've uninstalled and reinstalled though. Getting a bit irritating! :D

Reinstalled the GPU driver once through DDU, once on the windows driver programme and the rest through Nvidia geforve clean install.

Yeah windows has been kept up to date, I've reinstalled now, so I'm hopefully that will be the end of it!

Yeah, it's been weird, the Blue screens have been quite often, but different error messages each time.

Are two that I managed to take a photo of.
