First PC games?

Transport Tycoon, Doom, Day of the Tentacle, Worms and Theme Park are probably the earliest games I remember playing on the PC. Championship Manager 3 and C&C:RA couldn't have been much after.

If it counts, my old acorn archimedes a500 played old games like twin worlds, iron lord, repton4, mad professor and chocks away (with the usual lemmings installments)!

I then moved onto a windows pc in the mid nineties, with themepark being the first game I owned.

Depending on definition of "PC":

First "Personal Computer" game - Space Invaders on Atari 400 (1979)
First "IBM" PC game - Wizardry (1984)

First experience of computer gaming: C64 - some street basketball game (around 1990)
My dad was obsessed with Lucasarts adventures so on PC: Day of the tentacle, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Monkey Island 1 & 2.

I have gamed since about 1987 through Amstrads, Amigas, consoles etc. But I didn't get a PC until about 2002. When I got that my first game was Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 but I had played lots of others at friends houses and such before.

Bought my first proper PC to play Duke Nukem back around 1995/6

Before that it was Amigas, Atari ST's, Spectrums & a ZX81 back in 1982

Anyone remember a Ninja fighting game for PC back in the early 90s? Not much to go on but you'd drop through holes in the floor. Played that loads as a kid at a friends house. Also played Prince of persia a lot.

I had a C64, first game i remember was Robocop, which was awesome.

I bought 2 games with my first PC build, Civ II and Championship Manager 97/98.

CM was lost some time ago, but I still have Civ II along with a lot of my old Big Box PC collection!

First game I bought was X-Wing. I bought it the same day I ordered my PC from a shop called ESCOM on George Street in Edinburgh. £1142.56 and all paid for by me which I was particularly chuffed about. It was a 486 DX2-66 with 4MB ram and a 545MB hard drive and came with IBM PC-DOS and a 14" CRT monitor. It took a week to be built and be ready and I must have read the X-Wing manual front to back about a dozen times. I re-bought X-Wing from GoG last year and despite the graphics I still played it for nearly a week.

So wish they'd come out with another space combat simulator. :(

Frist PC game played was Commander Keen.

My first PC games on my own PC were:

Mircoprose F117a Nighthawk
Leisure Suit Larry
Microprose GP

I think Ecstatica was the first game I played on a PC (as opposed to Spectrum, Amiga or console). It wasn't my own PC, but I played through the game staying a mate's flat for the weekend. I remember being incredibly impressed by it and not realising games could do that kind of thing.
