chelsea has 29?

and roeder says we are 3players needed..

so we are on par possible, bear in mine we will always carry 2 dead players (owen/dyer)
Im afraid Mr G is right, Chelsea have 19 outfield (including Gallas but not the new guy) players and 3 keepers. Taking into account the possibility of Bridge, Gallas and Huth leaving, even with the arrival of Cole and this other guy they still will only have 17 outfield players. More worryingly for them is that they will then only have 5 defenders + Geremi and only 2 out and out strikers.

Be the envy of all your friends next time someone remarks about Chelsea's massive squad by using these figures;)

We had some much possession today, but kept dithering about in their box, instead of shooting and as a result, it was left to Giblet to save the day.

Pity we didn't score the first goal at Ashburton Grove, but at least we didn't lose.

But................... it was agaisnt villa, you know the team you thrash mercilessly each and every time you play them?!?
THAT villa, i'd be worried.

Finished 2-0.

Recap on the goals,

First shouldn't have counted, Davenport fouled in the build up.

I was wrong about the second there was no deflection, just a killer amount of curl from Campo which caught Robbo flat footed.

Overall possesion Spurs 56% - Bolton 44%

Not too deflated with the result, not many teams will cope with Bolton's physical approach away from home. Let's see how we cope with the Blades similar style on Tuesday. Three points are a must, but we need more creativity if we are going to make chances.

We definately missed Carrick's playmaking, I hoped Jenas would push on as a more attacking midfielder, sadly not. I'd be tempted to drop him for Murphy or Huddlestone and give either a chance. Zokora did ok for his first game, definately needs time to adjust. Left wing is a serious priority though, Davids is not a winger and should not be employed as such.

We were lucky to escape with a point in the end.I know we have a very big match on tuesday, but it was a bit dangerous going into the first match with such a poor line-up,Sheff Utd or not.Throw in the two injuries as well and we were left with no real options to shake things up.Haven't seen the Gerrard pen,but i can imagine it ;) .Radio was saying the Risse injury looked like a pen ,but they had no playback so werent sure,i'll have to wait til tonight.

Well I suppose I should enjoy tonight, Pompey top of the Premiership ;) pity in a couple of weeks I think we'll be beginning our relegation annual dogfight :( Still I'd have nothing to moan about if we weren't eternal strugglers :p

The pen is debatable but there is no debate weather Gerrard dived or not; he broke into the box, tackle went in (unclear if he has been caught) Gerrard stumbles through and loses balance while shooting. At best its a pen and worst Gerrard has just lost his balance, for me no chance of it being a dive, he had a clear chance of scoring and still got his shot away before falling.
Riise one im not sure (never noticed if it was in the box, but could be a good shout from the radio guy) he's gone down the left and defender has went to close the cross down and has taken him out after he has played the cross, was definately a foul (although the ref didn't give it), will be interesting to see if its in the box on the highlights tonight. The was no real appeal or reaction from Andy Gray so i think its unlikely it was in the box or we could have all missed it.

Edit\ just seen the highlights on MOTD and that Riise foul was in the box, when a striker closes down a defender making a clearance and takes the defender out its a freekick so imo that should have been a pen. Gerrard one is still inconclusive, but Styles has came out and said even without any contact its still a pen because the intent was there.
