Flashforward

This show failed in America, it lost it's audiance and now the UK has to put up with this over hyped pile of rubbish. The grating promotional announcements of Channel 5's flagship (or rather sunken ship) of a series is really annoying. "Did you miss Flashforward last night ? Well see it again on Fiver tonight". Yes and I don't need reminding that I need to see it again.

The only flash I see when it comes on is the one when I swich off my tv. Flashforward ??? more like Flashoff for me.

After watching last night, I'm not exactly sure where it's going. Yes it seems that the future is coming true for him and his wife, the bloody hobbit and the 'english' guy made some experiment, etc, etc.

But thinking back to last night, nothing REALLY happens. It does move incredibly slow. As I am so far in it I will continue to watch, but if the series on a whole is poor there is no chance of me watching series 2 if there is one. I'm going to stick it out because I'm the sort of person who can't stand not knowing. If I start something I usually finish it.

Quite like it actually. Better than some of the other rubbish on the TV at the moment.

If no one is watching it, its likely it will canned before it reaches its conclusion which will make watching anymore pointless.

Does it have 22 episodes ? in which case I suppose the is still time for it to gear up, BUT shows like 24 have already completed their first stanza by show 6-8.

Can you send me one too please?

And me please :p

Well that's incorrect, unless you're counting the drop after the pilot (a regular occurrence for any show). Its averaging around 9 million viewers at present which is a respectable figure when you consider Heroes is currently bringing in around 6 million an episode (had an average of around 10 million during its first season).

I think it's bad directing and writing rather than bad acting. A lot of the cast have done good work elsewhere. I think the directing is just overdone.

And those lesbians... Ugh, they're horribly written.

I've only caught 1 episode...correct me if i am wrong..but this seems like

1 - LOST 2.0
2 - It's obviously the flashes will come true, at least for now at the start, before they know how to change it (somehow), otherwise the series won't work at all.
3 - What happens when that date comes? What material is there after it? Another Flash?

Best episode so far tonight, shook things up thats for sure!

Presumably you are 'emitting the funny' with that comment?

The episode was TERRIBLE! I watched it last week and again tonight. there's so many in congruencies and bad pacing, bad writing, poor scripting it's really really cringe-worthy in places. Honestly - in parts I'm finding it hard to believe.(that they thought it was good enough!, not the suspension of disbelief required for these things)

I totally agree - the acting seems OK but it's the direction and writing that are really lame - it feels like it's some junior-fresh-out-of-writing-school youngsters that are writing it.

It's sort-of useful that it's so slow-moving because I can watch and get on with other things at the same time, unlike Lost S5 where you need a degree to keep up - but also frustrating because after 45min I just want SOMETHING TO HAPPEN!

Yeah, I'm in no way saying the show is awsome. Say every other episode gets 1/10 rating, tonight's got 2/10. :)

However, some jerks are making far too many comparisons with Lost season one when honestly, if you ever set your standards that high, you'll always be disappointed.

I quite liked last nights episode. If nothing else it showed that the flashfowards can be changed and that the future isn't set.
