Flashforward

What I understand with Simon's description of that Cat theory is:
Assuming the flash forward is what that person sees with the hands open, and another person MAY see a different outcome of what's on the hand, then the future is NOT set on stone.

Basically, if one knows that the cat will eat the poison fish, the removal of the fish leading up to the closed hand could prevent the cat from eating it, and thus dying.

IMO, and I stressed IMO, I find this show got a few loop holes to cover (and I'm expecting something special to to that) but if they're basing around that theory, then perhaps some people managed to see a different outcome of the cat's fate and depending on who's you believe, will lead up to that?

You get what I mean?

Edit: Had to catch up all the episodes as I've been so busy these days I completely missed it, so sat down and watched it all in 1 go. Also noticed about half the minor or dead cast from Lost are in it... :p

Just knowing the future makes it different. Also the suicide is not the first example, the main guy threw the bracelet his daughters made into the fire.

I started watching Lost last Friday and I'm almost on to season 3, it is loads better than Flashforward, although it might just be that I am power watching it!

Your in for a continued mega-treat then, Lost from there gets better and better, and its good that next Jan is the start of the final season when everything (maybe) will be answered and fall into place. As for Lost being ' daft' lol, it is a Science fiction programme and Flashforward isn't particularly meant to be for realism is it...what made me laugh the most was the number of burning buildings after the flash :)

Although i initially loved the first 2/3 episodes im now getting a bit bored of the story line!

I thought it was scheduled for 24 episodes, with tonights being number 10. Not heard anything about it being cancelled though.

Makes you wonder when people will just stop watching these programs altogether.

Whats the point if theres no ending. BSG got an ending and it makes the whole series complete.

Life on Mars USA is actually really good. Not as good as the UK version but still a very good series and ABC cancelled it halfway through filming.

Sarah Conner Chronicles - it went off the rails quite badly but recovered well but gets cancelled.

Dollhouse is just cobblers and gets 2 or 3 series - ???

I thought it was based on a book, so there should have been an ending, surely?

The Wire benefited hugely from the fact that they ended it while it was still brilliant.

Need to watch season 2 of that...

While Firefly gets cancelled. RAAAAAGEEE.

If you only watch 1 episode of season2, make it episode 11: Self Made Man. For me, that was the best episode of both seasons. That episode is almost completely unrelated to the rest of the show and is great viewing as a standalone episode.

I think if they started to make more episodes of Firefly, it would actually pull in higher numbers as it seems to have developed a cult following. I think it was a travesty for it to be pulled after a single season.

Has this been axed yet?

If it is getting 9M viewers in the USA, there is no reason for it to be cancelled.

What's the show like anyway? Is it any good? Better than Heroes? Better than Lost?

I havent seen any episodes as I'm waiting for people to give their opinions.

IMO: Flashforwards is better than Heroes after Season 1 but not quite as good since LOST Season 5 (which is beginning to answer them stupid questions since Season 1!!!!)

Tonight is the 'mid season finale' and then the rest should return soon AFAIK. I might be wrong.

Doesn't look like it is on next week, I assume that it is so closely linked to the US broadcast that they are going to have one of their mid-season breaks. Wonder when it will be back?

Just Checked Channel 5 listings and there is a film on at 9pm next Monday.

A few of my friends are transfixed, i'd assume that they aren't the only ones. Still, 5 only have this and the Gadget Show. They're in trouble aren't they? :p
