Floating idea - Lan Party - November - In Private Hotel - Wales

Right, one last friend can save this trip for me. How annoying :(.
I can't see him making it, he needs surgery on his back, but I'm hoping he goes through with it. He always wanted to LAN but didn't enjoy playing on PC so this would be perfect for him.

Mwahahahahah how wrong!

Ill try and be tame.

Whats stopping Nokkon going? I want him there, enough to help him with train fair, lend him a 360+monitor to use...

:)

Damn, so it was wishful thinking :P

you should be yourself.

He's a big gay, I want him to come too (if you read that wrong you're a gay yourself!)

On a less gay note, I'm going to need to sort out a monitor/tv for my 360.

I'm even considering getting a £150 Hanns-G 21.6" LCD shipped to UE and then lugging it back by train.

OR

Are there any local pc/tv stores nearby that would loan/rent out a set for the weekend?

Im taking 4 monitors hopefully.

21" Dell for myself and 3x17" as spares (though im not sure if the3 mates i got going will need them :/)

Just out of interest, what's happening with multiplayer aspects?

By this I mean the following:

Suppose 6 people want to play Halo3, Burnout, Flatout, whatever; most of these games don't offer split-screen MP, so it's gonna have to be 6 console, 6 VDU's, 6 controllers and each connected to the www.

Any thoughts how this is gonna work?

OK, well if they have a system link then that's all well and good, but as yet (both on this forum and others relating to this event), I've not seen many people saying they're bringing a 360, only monitors, controllers, etc.

Which brings me back to the first issue: Not enough consoles seem to be going to accommodate the needs.

Well me and my mates (if all 3 come) will be brining....

a minimum 5 xbox 360's, 8 controllers.

If i pick my NTSC one up in Miami and my mate doesnt sell his premium (he got an elite with the intent to tade his premium), it could be 7 x360's and 9/10 controllers. Im brining 4 monitors, they can bring theres, so we got tonnes.

ok since InwardSingings out i'm dependent on Psymonkee. Psy are you a definite and if so can i be yon passenger?

Excellent. Y'see it's information like that which is missing at the mo.

Perhaps there should be some kind of checklist that needs to be generated so the event doesn't have 40 controllers, 3 360's, 7 PS3's, 5 Wii's, 6 dual core 24Gb monstroserties and 2 monitors!
