Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao May 2 MGM Grand Las Vegas

I'm not falling for any more hyped matches. Floyd Runweather and his power hugs and Manny throwing punches like he had a limited amount of them.
Fair play to Floyd in post match interview, praised Manny and seemed quite humble but shame on Pacman for what he said.
The sport is nothing anymore.

MW and humble shouldn't exist in the same sentance ;)

Due to all the Hype and all the money involved i think people were expecting a fight like this :

I'd pay to see a fight with that much enthusiasm and lack of cheese.

*also +9001 man points for boxing with moustache :D

Happily I did not pay or see the heavily hyped one last night.

As I said earlier in the thread the fight came years to late. The Pac Man has never managed to return to his best since his defeat to Marquez. He isn't the fighter he used to be. I think Mayweather would still have had the advantage through defense and his noticeable height/reach advantage, but it would have been a different fight.

This was just a payday fight :(

Shane Mosley and ODH both had a weight, height and reach advantage over Pac and he beat them both; the advantage wasn't sufficient to alter the outcome. But neither fighter evaded like MW so that was the difference.

this fight was all about the money.

There was no passion it was routinely organised and the fighters had no fire in there belly regardless. It was all about "if" manny could do a job as we all knew what Mayweather would do.

I prefer fights like the Froch vs Groves. That was heated and provided a battle of two good fighters.

As mentioned on here previously a lot of people who do not watch boxing bought this thinking it was going to be a battle of two people who there is a past history or hatred. They are now left thinking well that was lame.

Has to be Amir Khan next for a shot with Floyd Mayweather in september
I would like to see Amir Khan destroy Kell Brook

Amir Khan doesn't deserve the chance to clean up the ring after a Mayweather fight and certainly not get in the same ring as him. Seriously though the difference between those two is massive and I'm not sure Khan would even want yet another defeat on his record.

Fight went as expected, glad I was tucked up in bed for it. Manny is a spent force, he is at least 3 years past his prime, too many fights, too much abuse on his body. Great fighter in his day, love the guy, but he was never going to take this one.

Mayweather is the best defensive boxer the sport has ever produced, its not great to watch but the guy is damn near impossible to hit cleanly.

Anyone know when Sky will be showing it on normal channels?

Even though I like boxing I didn't bother to buy the PPV or stay up, figured that there wasn't much chance of it being a classic fight.

Those saying that Manny should be fresher because he's younger need to remember that he's fought 9 more fights and also he gets hit a lot more than Mayweather, they're surely taking their toll now. Not to mention the TV work, basketball and congress stuff he done in recent years.

Excuses, surely?

47-0 before this fight and people are still shocked by how Mayweather fights. What exactly were you expecting, a back and forth war? Also the entire running thing is funny. If anyone is to blame for that Manny is. He came straight down the pipe and made it far too easy.

I'm barely a fan of boxing but if you didn't score it either 118-110 or 117-111 you're insane.
