Manny Pacquiao Agrees Terms For Mayweather Fight.
Manny Pacquiao has edged closer to an elusive fight with Floyd Mayweather after agreeing terms, but is waiting for the American to accept the bout in May.
The two biggest stars in boxing have been unable to finalise a clash in recent years, amidst rows over television network deals and blood tests, but talks have restarted about finally arranging the fight for 2015.
Pacquiao insisted he was willing to face the American after his November win over Chris Algieri and has backed up his words by accepting a deal for a proposed clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2.
But Mayweather is yet to agree a deal for the long-awaited showdown, which is expected to be the most lucrative clash in the sport’s history.
Top Rank chairman Bob Arum is believed to have been holding talks over the past few months, with reports suggesting that the Filipino is willing to take a 40 per cent cut of the revenue.
Pacquiao has overcome a number of sticking points and reportedly has selected the required gloves and also agreed to be tested by the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
"I think that Manny agreed to USADA testing shows you his eagerness to make this fight," Moretti said.
Mayweather sparked fresh speculation about the fight in December when he claimed his long-term rival had been 'ducking' him and called for a meeting in May.
This challenge was accepted by the 'Pac Man', who said last month: "This fight is about legacy, this is about making the fans happy and, above all, this is for the good of boxing
