Playing mind games is trying to give yourself an advantage though isn't it, and that's exactly what he did by trying to reject a perfectly fine pair of gloves which were given the all clear by the regulating bodies and declaring the fights off. It's to be expected though from mayweather, hardly surprising.

Beating someone psychologically ( which has been a part of boxing for as long as it has gone on ) as a means of advantage is completely different and legal compared to that of trying to use an illegal set of gloves though.
