Flying Gallardo

But speeding (Unless you crash) doesn't involved causing $100,000 damage to our new Gallardo does it, and i'm sure that S class merc driver did it for the thrill as well.

And besides :

The government of Dubai thought it would be a good idea to put a speed bump on a street where locals tended to speed. Problem is they didn't tell anybody.

no,but my example shows that just because something isn't brand new anymore, people still do the same things with it.

as for not knowing it was there i'd say that's BS.
listen to the audio, the lambo driver goes back on the gas upon landing....now are you trying to tell me if you'd been surprised like that the first thing you wouldn't do would be to stop asap and examine the damage?
balls.
he knew it was there IMHO.
rich kids with too much spare time on their hands mucking about.

What about the S class then and all the taxis shooting sparks, and how come Wrecked Exotics said its been build without informing people.

If you have your foot down fly in the air upon landing your foot will be forced back onto the throttle.

Yes i agree some of the people have more money than they know what to do with but this time i disagree with this i think its a accident.

i see drivers taking speed bumps too fast all the time, even ones that were put down a few years ago.

bearing in mind how long it takes to construct one of them, and that it will have been built during the day,it was hardly shrouded in secrecy...especially if there are more of the same type in the same city.

feel free to check but i can't see the Lambo's brake lights coming on at all until he's landed on the other side, now even at speed you would've seen the thing before you hit it and unless you were intentionally trying to launch yourself over the top of it you would've hit the anchors pretty hard.

you're just wrong on SO many levels ;)

Its even got the construction cones out still and the path isn't finished off............. so yes i can tell you now it was built 10 years ago.

Do you regually see cars back ends 5 foot in the air from taking a speed bump too fast?

Can't possibly comment on what the lambo does next since thats pure speculation.

I've not watched the vid but its a fairly clear message not to speed in dubai!!!

From my recent experience of dubai in feb... they're nuts..

well there was a short shower early one morning and the front page of the local papers stated there were 500 traffic accidents between 3am-9am that morning.

Dubai driving = 1mm from car in front is acceptable, 2mm means there's a gap to move into for overtaking or lane changes.
To change lanes or get onto an intersection/roundabout... you simply pullout. Regardless if a there's multilane traffic of speeding lorries coming at you... they have brakes is the attitude.

you will see behaviour in Dubai the like of which you won't see pretty much anywhere else.

pure speculation would involve guesswork.
however the video shows the Lambo accelerates after landing rather than slowing down which one would do after having an accident.
it also shows no brake lights upto the point the driver hits the ramp and even while the car is in the air, this tells me he was trying to clear the thing smokey and the bandit stylee.
