nope, but I expect someone to look back and see what made those games feel so special. There's just to much info now, so much that is bloated nonsense, stupid transfer dealings ie. whatever player you want to bid for,m basically triple or quadruple their value yet whenever AI comes in for your highly rated player they never bid anywhere near their value. Stupid demands from players even though you've just won the domestic title, both domestic cups, Champions League and Supercup....yet they still think a move to a much lesser club is better for their future. Still no meaningful stadium improvements or stadium views, stupid amount of injuries even though you have the best physios and facilities in Europe. Crazy amount of yellow and red cards.

It's just a pants game now with zero atmosphere or soul.

Before anyone jumps on you I feel your pain buddy, I absolutely adored the CM's and put 2k hours a year on those easy but now these are so bad and for me have gone so far backwards.

No doubt they will but it doesn't change the fact the game is just a text based disaster these days.

Player interactions is another area that just frustrates, the system has no resemblance to what a going on in the bigger picture at the club and makes it completely unrealistic. I just finished my 4th season with Saints winning everything again for the 2nd season in a row, I'm paying Tadic 180k a week, Arsenal come in for him and offer 28mil when hes valued at 39.5mil (Arsenal by the way highest finish in last few seasons was 5th and no silverware). He's got 3 years left on a contract, he's the highest paid player in my team yet when I turn down Arsenals absolutely ridiculous offer, he throws his toys out the pram as I won't let him leave due to the low offer and tell him hes already contracted for many more seasons. It's just stupid ridiculous interactions that ruin the game for me. I mean come on, what player still in there 20's would rather leave a dominating football club for a team that has won nothing for four years. It's just dumb.

The older you are the more the cons outweigh the pros of the game, the young lads don't know how good life used to be. I still have an old dell laptop with all the CM's from 98 to 04

Those were the days alright, that lovely basic text based match system, nice backgrounds, nice colour palettes, straight to the point attributes. And of course finding those hidden gems like Tonton Zola Mikoka and Anastasious Skalidis lol.

And Premier Manager when you had control of picking advertising boards, upgrading your stadium and seeing those improvements visually represented. I mean come on, seeing Halifax Town stadium improve from a 1500 capacity stadium to an all seater 90000 stadium was so much fun, why can't a decent manager game include a stadium upgrade system. With today's graphics it could be amazing

The gems or wonderkids very rarely worked for me, I always bought South American in attack and British in defence oh and a Greek kid called Papadopoulos who was 16 and absolutely killed it!

Yeah there's so many little things like that which would be amazing but SI Games have zero competition so it makes no sense for them to spend time/money on changing the game too much. They also provide stats and data to the real football industry so unfortunately there's little to no chance for a new developer to enter the market and be able to compete with them. I still enjoy it and spend way too much time playing it but in recent years it's essentially the same game every year with a few visual tweaks and database updates.

OMG Memories!

I remember CM3, Ba on the wing and Robbie Keane upfront, you could buy Keane for around 4million i think and he'd get 40+ goals easy, Siqpoursen was another one, dirt cheap and pair him with Keane..... instant silverware.

Was it on Premier Manager when signing players, you could offer houses/cars and I THINK you could attempt to bribe refeeres? Although I could be wrong on that one.

Just bought this for £11 on the steam summer sale because....why not!

I've noticed that the creators don't update the teams with the transfers etc.

I've seen around the internet that people create their own transfers and team updates to reflect real life. Which is the best one to use that will be the most accurate etc? I'd like to get updated teams before I start my first season! (Granted it'll theoretically be august 2016 in the season)

I normally just grab one from the steam workshop. Not entirely sure which i the best to be honest :( I'm on FM16 so can't help with which database

You couldn't bribe the ref, but you did offer houses/cars to players. Used to hammer Premier Manager 98 starting in lower leagues, and waiting for a big club to play you at home in the FA cup so you could charge £25 a ticket.

They need to spend more money getting the rights back of the competitions they've lost like Spain and Brazil. If I want to find Santos, I just want to type Santos, not some crazy nickname. Same with Real Madrid and Barcelona.
