So what do you all like to use when you shave Foam or Gel?


I prefer using gel as it seems to give a much closer shave for me, plus it makes my skin feel nice and cool when i put it on my face before it turns to foam.

I sometimes use the electric, then go for a wet shave.. gel feels super good then and I get a nice shave.

I use gel, but that cooling thing you mention is actually really not good as it closes the pores that you've just opened with hot water.

Gel - Nivea to be precise. Don't like the foam, doesn't feel like there is enough substance there. I also tried the KoS gel which was quite nice, didn't foam up too much.

This should definitely be an option as after using both foam and gel and getting massive shaving rash, decent shaving oil is the only thing I have used for years.

I use gel, which gets very foamy, but there ain't an option for both

I tried going back to a dry electric shaver recently and it was horrible. Caused little zits to start appearing round my neck, so now back to the old razor blade for good me thinks.

'Gillette series Gel' is what I use, put it on and it turns to foam, but says 'gel' on the can, so it must be gel and not foam.

Should have an option for a wetshave, pretty much always done it that way myself.

Use electric to get the majority off, then make it all extra smooth with a razor and some warm water

That's the whole point isn't it? Closing the pores is good as it stops em filling up with dirt giving you more zits! Takes away any redness too.

For shaving the last thing you want is for your skin to be tight. It's the same reasn why you wash your face with hot water, then rinse with cold afterwards.
