Gel. Used to use King of Shaves but switched to the Nivea one as I found it much better.

Oil protects your skin from coming in direct contact with the blade, so the blade only removes the hair.

i've probably just pussified my face by using the 5 blades, but i like it, and so does my gf

blades do cost a lot, but they last about 30 days, £2 for 30 days is fine by me

I have a beard that is a cross between desparate dan and homer simpsons. Within seconds of shaving, I have a five o'clock shadow.

I tried shaving with an old fashioned safety razor, soap and badger brush and that gave me the best shave. Close, skin felt good and my face smelt and was super clean.

Before that I tried the gilette fusion and it gave me tonnes of ingrowing hairs...not nice.

However, I got some king of shaves oil and gel this christmas, and combines with the my original mach 3 razor, I get the best shave I have ever had in my life. I guess it all depends on what suits your skin.

The badger brush/soap combo was the best but a lot of faffing and when you travel a lot like me, the brush doesn't really get time to dry out and air properly. The king of shaves oil and gel combo with a mach 3 gets my vote as best shaving kit ever.

I'm only kidding, I use a Quattro. I used to use a Fusion with the buzzy blade, but when I got a free quattro sample I just found it to be a better shave.

Still, everyone has different skin, so it's whatever works.

Some shaving oil (can't remember the brand) but its with menthol which wakes me up in the morning.

Don't need anything else. :/

Ok KoS Oil and Gel really. I also have an antique cuthroat razor which I have been shaved with and feels great (I've never dared to shave 'solo' with it as it were )
