Nice warm shower then shave, for me. Washing your face in hot water works well, but straight after the shower is best imo.

they're doing it wrong.

you're supposed to wet the brush, then swirl it on the block of cream (it should be in a tub or tin of some sort) untill it has nicely saturated the brush (a thick lather). then apply to face and shave.

It's this. So i should get a dish and work it into a lather first? Meh.

Apart from the chice of razor, this is also what I do - KoS Oil followed by KoS Gel (the light green one).

Either that KOS oil with gel above it.

And I thought I was the only one.

King of Shaves Gel is what I've been using for years now, I had to use some foam over Christmas and I had awful rash afterwards, it doesn't feel as nice when shaving as gel.

Use both, oil with gel on top. Some say it's against the laws of nature and that it brings bad Ju-Ju, but feels nice.
