Focus RS -Would you? And which colour

He'll be trying to buy it back again in 6-10 months I bet. If I could borrow a bit of money I could buy that off him, problem is ...I'd have to run it then :p ...oh I can dream.
I'm astonished & quite disapointed he didn't open up the advert with a 'HI THERE'! :)

Oh come off it, everyone rathers it was FWD than 4WD do they?
I prefer it being driven at the front to be honest, although i'd also prefer less weight & less ponies, not that they seem to be hitting 300BHP anyways.

If FORD were willing to dig-deep & find some more power then perhaps they could also drive the rear wheels, market it as da' h'official WRC road version & take the fight to the current-gen 'limping' Scoobys & Evos.

And onto more intesting things...

Its British hand-built.

A two seater.

No roof, or much other bodywork for that matter.

It goes like **** off a shovel.

Im putting my order in for an Atom this week!

Nice one mate! I guessed it with the bodywork clue :)
Fantastic car, very very special & Christ are they bonkers!
Can I ask about how you actually placed an order? And do you know how accurate the 18months waiting list actually is? Its great news that Ariel have a fat order book. :)

Ford had their reasons for making the FRS FWD and they made a half decent job of it. People are too quick to jump on the FWD is fail bandwagon.

4WD always has an advantage 0-60 over FWD for obvious grip reasons. Once rolling it makes little difference.

sadly i think one of them was cost.

Ford dont have a proper electronically controlled 4x4 system like subaru and mitsubishi do.

To develop one, or buy one, and then to fit it on the Focus RS would have inflated the RS price tag significantly. The press have already scoffed. Car collectors mind, know what the RS models risiduals can be like, have been buying them up in sets to store away neatly for 20 years etc.. as a long term investment. But never built cars for these sorts of people.

The sort of person they do aim their cars at, i feel would be put off by a price tag well north of 30k however.

They looked at the haldex AWD and found it didnt drive how they wanted, the weight etc, made it apparantly feel like an 'estate'. As well as the extra cost.
