Focus RS

Why do people think dry weight even matters?

You are NEVER going to drive around with no fuel, no brake fluid, and no oil in the engine..

Its good as a comparison though and an easy figure to obtain for manufacturers

Lighter than I thought though :)

I want one, so buy one :)

Ok Boss :p

There was one in the car dealers near me a month ago, couldnt afford to think about one then. Was 14k and had 18" Superleggeras, I nearly crashed everytime I drove past it as I couldn't stop looking at it. :D

Place where I went to test drive the Astra GSi had one in, if I'd have known before I'd have gone to have a go in that instead :P Was 14,995 but had nasty tints :(

Standard looks all the way :)

Great cars, I love 'em

However, I was hoping your next car would have uber JDM tyteness, yo. :(

Was thinking of an S2000 to supercharge but nah, only 2 seats too. So much choice out there though that's for sure!

Just broke an ignition lead on my rover trying to pull it off the plug, it must know

wtf, my celica gives me 300 miles to ~ £55 no matter what I do, and thats running 270bhp.

That is impressive. I can squeeze 300 miles out of mine if I am doing 70 on a motorway. A normal month of driving to work and other places means I usually manage 200 miles or less.

When was the first one sold and when did they sell the last one?

Would be nice to get one with warrenty but the latest one I have seen is a September 2003 car.

You won't find many that are later than that, i think a couple sneaked out in October or November 03 but not many. The vast majority of them are now out of warranty.

i would keep the rover, although the frs is a much newer car and pretty nice to look it, I reckon it'll be a bit of a sidestep from the rover considering the price difference.

If you really want to spend that kind of money on a new car get an evo 3 or something.

New EVO 3? :p

Overrated expensive to run cars with an imminant image problem and generally for people who dont like nice clothes and a life other than their car IMO.

well good morning mr happy.

my point was that i don't think its worth spending that kind of money that will be a sidestep from his rover.

An Evo is hardly an upgrade though.

I want to waste some money :p

Im figuring re-sale value is probably a factor here?

15k focus is worth 13k in a year or so? Then its only another £27k to get to a GT3 :p

Most people who get an EVo tend to sell them for something cheaper to run, anyway 4wd is for people who cant drive who like to rag their cars to the limit on the road in the wet. :p

How do you know everything I'm thinking ?

Oh yeah .... :p

I really do see the FRS as a Rover turbo but improved. 4wd is for girls too :D
I ruled out an S2k and SC, so I don't think ill consider a Mx5 turbo. Need more than 2 seats aswell
