Folding@home news 21st - 28th March 2013

I have populated it with what I think is quad channel.

Not sure if it will run single or dual but I assume quad will give best performance.
 
Think I was lucky with the processors most go for £500 or so, not powered it up yet so dont want to say too much.

Not sure why your G34 rig is out doing mine especially with the ram problems, may be time for a re-install and move upto 12.04.
 
Well, the G34 rig is back to the same frame times as when I first powered it up - it works (and works well) so no complaints from me :D

But will be interested to see if your times improve with 12.04

I think it maybe time for me to get the bios update and see about oc'ing mine - will I need to contact tear to get it?

Thanks! Pleased to see I made it onto the list somewhere in my first week, even though I had a watercooling nightmare on the weekend and have just got back online after 2-3 days wirthout folding. Will do better!

10 million gpus is a little excessive don't you think.....

Besides - it may may time to consider a more cost effective approach as BaBa is about to bring his Behemoth to the the cause

Time to stick a few pokers in some fires me thinks ;)

your right, 9 million is more the correct amount haha :D:D

either way you have the most gpu power ive ever seen any folder have :cool::cool::cool:

while were on the gpu subject, do any of your high end cards benefit from core 17? my gtx 460 and 560 are reduced in ppd if i run core 17

im jealous of you all with your super computers! :D
