Folding@Home News - Attention Single-Machine Crunchers

hi rich just to keep you informed im now running a 9800 GX2 and a 8800GTS 320 in the same box
Ive retired the 4400 x2 and just doing gpu foldong for now untill i get either a tri core phenom ii or quad core phenom ii

Bit of a sad one, I'm no longer GPU assisted, it's out of the box and about to find it's way onto MM.
I'm not actually crunching any F@H at the moment :(

Left it late to mention it but I was single crunching this week [Quad core with GPUs]. Won't be single crunching next week ;)

Both added - news to follow from last night's data :)

Conc I spose I will have to think of a new colour for your 8-cores, for now I'll put you as quad as it's not a full week and shouldn't upset anyone :p

Folding with a Laptop is a bit of a 50-50 area

For starters, Folding really needs to be one on a computer thats on 24/7

However, in the cases of Laptops and other such machines that cannot be used as such, you can setup your folding client to only do the jobs that dont need to be done quickly.

This is what I have done with my Opteron... Since I dont use it all that much anymore other than as a file server for my ISOs for Virtual CDs

Folding again, though rather slower than before. Down to a single machine again as well. It'll be gpu assisted quad core once wine stops messing me around
