I wouldn't worry unless it stays like that a few days at least, could be work machines that have been turned o** for the weekend or just a burst of large WUs in the system as opposed to the tiny ones of recent

I only dumped 1 WU yesterday for 135 points but today should see 4 or 5 in total for a good 1600 points or more

I've added an option or two. Would prefer to post it myself if thats ok, if not i'll send you the document.
I have the thread written, mostly. Just one thing i decided to add.

Having said that, if it gets more attention from being posted by a don i'd rather do that, the more attention it gets the better.

Go for it if you want. I'll add the poll - just let me know what the added options like. :)

If you would prefer a Don to do it I could do it, but it's not as if I'm an uber cruncher here ;)
 
Right, i'll do it later today then.
I'll email you the poll options and put them in the thread in case another don is around.

Amd price cuts are in. You can get an X2 3800+ for £130. I remember when my 3200+ cost that...
Of course getting an E6300 would be a better option, for £150.
Have we got any core 2s on the team yet?
 
Well if i were you i would spend an extra £20 for the E6300 and clock it. Remember these are closely related to Pentium M, and one of those held the record for highest ppd i believe or something like that.

Anyone who has a Core 2 folding should give it its own user account and put it in the single crunchers list, see how it does against the overclocked X2 3800+s and the like...

I think that's what dunc is doing - should be on his "The_Alabama_Slamma" account
unless I got totally the wrong end of the stick of course :o :p

He asked for it to be added for the coming week - he posted near the end of the single crunchers thread and mentioned the machine he'd be using, I assumed it was something new but i could be wrong :p

I would guess that's some sort of Pentium D rather than a Core Duo

I'm putting the poll options here so as not to add to an already rather large thread. Options as follows:

‘Why aren’t you folding?’

1: I am, for OcUK.
2: I am, for another team.
3: I’m running a BOINC project instead.
4. I don't know what it is.
5. I can't be bothered.
6. I thought it made my pc run slower.
7. I don't think my PC is powerful enough.
8. I don't think I can run it on my computer.
9. I don't have time
10. Pc gets too hot/noisy/uses too much power.
11. I thought you'd need to run your computer 24/7?
12. It's all just pretend isn't it? They haven't actually found anything have they?
13. Why should I spend money doing research for some drugs company to then charge me for what's produced?
14. It will stress my pc and cause parts to fail prematurely

Edit: You lot need to help me keep that thread at the top, and more importantly provide individual help to those who have said they can't be bothered, if they are willing to give it a go that is.
