Folding@Home Weekly Team News - 16th November 2006

Everyone's been getting crap WUs. It's why I am suddenly about to be stomped by 2bullish and a few others have started to gain on me. I used to have nearly 1.2K output :(

1 of my PCs has been ill hence my loss of about 300 ppd - can't think of what's wrong - everything seems ok. Mabe the WUs have just been tougher than normal?

Anyway good going team, shame we're down 50k though :(

Let's get crunching people - more more more!! :p

I was hoping to break 9k a week... Hmm I'll have to do some research into what's going on. I'll be on 90k by Monday I reckon (hope) so my target to get to 100k should be a week on tuesday which'll be nice.

So why are we 50k down then? Lack of decent WUs or lack of crunching or both?
 
1808/1809/2124/2125 - these are the only 4 WU's ive had for like a week and a half now, i think i'd cry if i saw a 600 pointer come my way
oh wait i did have one 600 pointer this week at home and then it finished at 38% and i only get 216 points for it :(
 
Good News as always Mr Millions :D

My production has been down, but I blame the borged server. It crashes too often, meaning most of the borgs run on empty. Major heart surgery is needed on that, and when I do so in a few days, my productino will plummet.

Meanwhile yes there are a few rubbish WUs around. but there are still the 600 pointers and stuff too, just more thinly spread. My main rig is chomping on one now.

I don't beleive that score from Concorde though is just on one machine. What on earth is under it's hood :eek:

Be greatful it wasn't a token 1 point, that most EUE get :cool:
 
well first of all i thought it might of EUE because the machine is quite OC'd, but then its done like 20 WU's and never EUE before so i was a bit confused, when i read the log it said this could be an error or it could be how the WU is supposed to finish or something along those lines, and when it updated EOC stats and i saw it gave me 216 points i assumed it wasnt an error as i was given approx the amount of points comparable to the percentage i had completed?

38% of 600 = ~216 points?

I may be able to blag one.

Though actually I may wait for AMD quad-core.
 
Damn this 2125, killed this weeks output. However it should dump today in about 2 hours or so, so that'll be a nice 392 points to start this week with :D


Hopefully this week will bring plentiful supplies of nice WUs

Bah, just checked the stats and I've got 2bullish breathing down my neck. Nothing I can do until I have a bit more money either. Can't compete with his myriad of high-spec machines :(

Ive been tinkering with my Conroe the last couple of days so it hasnt been folding at all, Ive got some Yate Loon fans arriving tomorrow for my rad so I'll be trying to get to 4 Ghz. Also my laptop borgs are always out of action over the weekend so my production is way down.
 
Oh great, 2bullish is about to bend me over and he's not even at full capacity!

So tempted to click the buy button but I wanna get my account closer to positive figures before I do :p

Been playing the lottery with my mum so you never know, I might bag a few hundred/thousand/million quid. You lot are in trouble if I do lol.
