Funny, I turned it on a few days ago and keep getting p1495/p1497 wus. Karma I think, after rubbish wus for ages.

it's more a case of getting stuck on the same server as long as WUs are available

the best way to get rid of the 44 pointers is to turn -advmethods off for one WU or even just change to deadlineless as none are avilable and then reconfigure with -advmethods again to try and get something really nice :)
 
Woohoo! I have broken the 1000 PPD barrier :cool:

I don't expect it to stay above 1k, but I can't help but feel good about it! Afterall, I started out at a lowly 300PPD for the first few weeks of crunching.

Arghh, the work server has crashed again. All those borgs that aren't going to be doing much over the weekend :( ON the other hand there could be a bit of dumpage on Monday :cool:

Got me a 600 Pointer now (2412), though it reckons it will take about 2 and a half days to complete it...

I must go buy a new fan so I can crank this 3500+ up a bit more (2.26GHz atm from 2.20GHz, hardcore :p)
 
Let me get some extra cooling (I'm figuring a side intake blowing directly on the CPU area will help matters immensely) I'll be cranking it up to an FSB of about 215/220 if my RAM can handle it.

Should be good for about 2.4GHz then (roughly on a par with a 3800+, although that may have more cache)
 
Strong recommendation: set your boxes to -advmethods NOW.

Been getting non-stop p1495 or p1497s. 364 pointers with very nice ppds. Do it, for the good of the team! :)

No WUs on the boxes I control are finishing within a day or two so they'll have all dried up knowing my luck lol. Besides, I'm happy with my constant 600 pointers :D

Set one client as -advmethods and one without. And just leave it. I went for weeks getting crappy 44 pointers. It will pass and you'll start getting WUs worthy to be crunched :D

Change required

Just got my quaterly phone bill (on dial up :o ) and it's £100 higher that normal!!!! - booking broadband this week. Will be running home rig as ID copy of work rig (using ipod to move work folder to and from home) untill set up.

Ok it's not all folding up/downloads - wife's found a forum she likes :D and theirs more mobile calls that usual but still. Really needed overdraft this month as I didn't see that coming on top of other one off bills. :eek: :(
