When you do get to the machine restart the client and check the fahlog.txt for something like

[23:33:13] - Ask before connecting: No
[23:33:13] - User name: benneh (Team 10)
[23:33:13] - User ID: 59ED863E094806A2
[23:33:13] - Machine ID: 1

This will show that credit is going to you and to our team.
 
No SMP client for a little while. Something is wrong with my spare HDD. PC wouldn't boot from it, I couldn't install Windows or Linux to it, and Knoppix Live didn't detect it. Tried 3 IDE cables and everything else I could think of - nothing. Not even the BIOS can see it.

It lived in an anti-static bag in an out of the way drawer... looks like the elves got it!

Yay - I think I found the problem. I was using a SATA to Molex convertor as it made some cable routing a bit easier. When I took it off as I was abondoning adding the HDD I noticed one of the wires was loose, pulled it and it just dropped out. There was no power getting to my HDD!

Gonna get a new convertor tomorrow while I am out so should be able to give Ubuntu a spin tomorrow or Friday whenever I get time.
