You can add me if you like. :)

Also check out the "Way to Go Team" thread. Lots of helpful info and some mini guides on how to setup a few things, assuming you choose the Linux route. :D

A great week all round again it seems.

A team stomp, a nice 100K tiffy for me and I finally broke 9k in one week (and 10 and 11K as well it seems! :) ).

Well its just a [email protected] with an OC'd X1900XT.

It seems that for this week one core had it's sights locked on the load of 364 pointers that are flying around, with the odd 476 and 574 thrown in, while I was away visiting family and hence not gaming. Heres hoping the 364's hang around for a while more.

Even all of that couldn't stop me being stomped by Neil however (congrats sah, onwards and upwards), but I did drag it out for a few more days...

Thanks as always for the news Rich.

The latest version of Ubuntu 6.10 runs as a live CD. You can choose to install it if you like from the live system. Running the live CD enable you to check that it will run on your system, and recognise everything, before you take the plunge and install.

note that sometimes the live CD (notable 6.8) doesn't always work with core2duo system (intel chipset was not supported fully) so make sure you get the latest build!

Just installed 6.10 on my C2D from live CD without issue. Earlier versions may have had problems though. :)

There we go.. knew it would arrive eventually.

when I finally remembered how to collect it

All's well at the farm - should have my mini stash uploaded in a few minutes and my active processors count up from 5 to 30 plus by lunchtime :D

I trust all you other office/school farmers are cranking up your productional also - got some catching up to do :o

Hi - just joined up, left the computer crunching over Xmas. :)

I used to do SETI back in the day, but with it only running through an installer, and my machine being a secured desktop, I couldn't carry on. Folding seems to work fine though, so there's a HT P4 2.6 crunching away now. :)

I hadn't noticed the Top Stomper award. :D

I'd left the computer running two clients, but it appears only one was working correctly. Still, I've had a nosy and it's now running two. We'll see how that bumps up production now. :)

Cheers for the stats links too, I used to like nosing through them when I did SETI :)
