Folding@Home Weekly Team News - 29th June 2006

We're an Architects practice here - so it's CAD (and AutoCAD 2007 is very Ram hungry) and MS office - he's a massive multi-tasker but his machine has 768mb so it's not panic stations

Edit: no fair Sr4470 - I'm still getting sub-200 pointers

Congrats on your 400,000 tiffy - have we seen it yet? :D

Kinnison.
cheers fella - it has indeed been shown off already :)

as for crunchers/dumpers I think it started off as the "Single Crunchers League" where cruncher meant rig/machine but then got changed to the "Single Machine Crunchers League" which of course doesn't make much sense at all :p
I'll change it once I've thought of something better :p

and Mister Berserker - yes I think 13 mentions for you is plenty :D
I was thinking of adding the CSO2 accounts to the single machine list but the news post was already bloated elsewhere so I decided against it

Is it really worth adding the CS02 stats to the single crunchers? They are temporary are they not? I would leave the news as is, or create their own little league table :D

yep gonna keep the two lists seperate - there's no need to combine them as all it'll do is irritate the people who are already doing all they can with the hardware they have :o

on a different note - ooooh another team tiffy

tcert.php

150K Woooooos - way to go team!

My ISP is liquidated and thus my internet connection is gone also, so no more WUs from me for a while. I'll see if I can persuade my cousin to run F@H on his XP2200..

I've just got 3 600 pointers on 3 machines!!

edit, two 600 pointers (within 30 mins of eachother, same project) and one 622 :D
WIN!

:(

Really want a big WU like that. Just to see how fast I can whizz through it :D

Stuck with some particularly annoying 192 pointers. Seem to take ages. Heh, not too bothered though cos miraculously I am in front of Raikiri again :D

Which means either my machine is whizzing along, or hes got some stinker of a WU and hes gonna drop about 1000 points some time soon :p

my mums PC (athlon 64 3500 iirc) does a 600 pointer in about 2.5 days, whereas my Athlon XP 3200 does one in (ABOUT) 3 days or so maybe 4, BUT I play loads of EVE on here most days etc so that makes a big diff.

I've got my 3 single core Athlons doing 600 pointers atm.. they range from about 3 days to 3.5 days to do one. (2 are semprons 2400&2500, one is a athlonxp 2.8).
Annoyed my Athlon x2 3800 hasn't picked any up yet :( Although I do play Eve on it quite a lot as well :P

not heard much about them before but from a quick google you're better off without their "service" anyway it would seem :o

186k decided to step in and provide the service themselves, so I'm back online :)
